Happy New Year to you all! It’s been a crazy beginning of January for us because we are back at work and it’s also time to prepare for the third and final term of the school year. To our first-time readers, we are full-time teachers and yes, we just share our tasty EATSperiences whenever we have free time. Things got really busy this past Christmas season because of endless reunions and family gatherings. Christmas season here in the Philippines can be really really fun. However, it can also turn us into spendthrifts in a jiffy. So after all the gatherings, reunions and gift-givings, we made sure to go back to spending within a budget. Spending within a budget does not mean compromising the things that we enjoy. One of which, as you all know is eating! Open Table Restaurant – Scout Lazcano, Quezon City
It’s not very often when I, Mr. Eats, EATSperience something without my wife and baby. It’s also not very often when I go all the way to Quezon City just to EATSperience something new. Well, in this edition of EATSplorations it is not like one of those days when my wife and baby are not with me. Because I will be sharing an EATSperience that I went to on my own, and it’s in an area called Scout Lazcano in Quezon City. Thank God for the ASEAN break, I was able to travel from our place to Quezon City in just 30 minutes during lunch time. It’s a miracle, right? I was really pretty happy with the travel time that I experienced because I was looking forward to having a great time eating with friends in a restaurant that I have never tried before. And that restaurant is Open Table Restaurant at Scout Lazcano in Quezon City. If you are familiar with Capitol Medical Center, Open Table Restaurant is located just around a hundred meters away and is in a commercial area called 2 Lazcano. Open Table Restaurant serves up American food like ribs, burgers, and sandwiches, just to name a few. American food has been really famous here in the Philippines, and Filipinos are so accustomed to it. There are a number of American restaurants that have and are making their name here in Manila. Applebee’s being one, has been around for quite sometime. And they have new dishes to cater to our local taste. American Food Festival at Holiday Inn & Suites Makati

The Great Eatscape: The Great American Burger Joint, SM Aura
Hello everyone! We are back for the second installment of our most recent Great Eatscape EATSperience with ForkSpoonManila and SM Aura Premier. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will share with you about The Great American Burger Joint in SM Aura’s Food on Four. As you all know, we LOVE burgers! That’s why we were extremely excited when we found out that we will get the chance to try this out for the first time. Buttery brioche bun, fresh veggies, melted cheese, and juicy beef patty just to name a few good reasons why no matter how much good food we have tried, the simplest of burgers still excites us. Yes, it still does. Aside from their burgers, their classic diner favorites like nachos, burritos, and sandwiches gave us more reason to feel really excited.
