Since coming back to Manila almost three months ago, one of our main goals has been to EAT and EXPLORE around our hometown and appreciate eateries around Manila and beyond. And we have been on track so far. Slowly but surely, we are getting our tummies busy and are ready to take it one bite at a time. This edition of EATSplorations took us to Banawe in Quezon City. Nori – Kapitolyo, Pasig

Last week, we were finally able to visit one of the most sought after foodie districts in Metro Manila, Kapitolyo! The place is known for good eats of all sorts cuisines, ambiance, budget, concepts and so on. That is why when we received an invite to visit a restaurant in the area, we immediately said yes! That restaurant was Nori—A restaurant that serves sushi burrito. According to the owner, its concept originated from San Francisco. As he was inspired by the sushi burrito craze there. Nori also has other items in their menu such as yakitori, rice bowls and noodles. Nori is located just across Kanto Freestyle Breakfast in Kapitolyo’s 1st Street. Eight Coffee Bar by UCC – Rockwell, Makati

This past weekend, we visited and EATSperienced Eight Coffee Bar by UCC in Rockwell, Makati. It is located in 8 Rockwell and is just a few steps away from Power Plant Mall. Eight Coffee Bar by UCC is one of the many cafes under the UCC group here in the Philippines. UCC serves great coffee, pastries and savory dishes. Yes, they do serve savory dishes! Aside from being a few weeks old, we would like to shareΒ with you our Eight Coffee Bar by UCC EATSperience because of their new items on the menu that feature Adlai. It is locally grown and cultivated, a healthier and more nutritious substitute for rice and corn, high in fiber and gluten free, and also has sugar lowering properties. Freezer Burn – Bonifacio Global City, Taguig

As you all know, living in the Philippines can get scorching hot at times. It’s a place that can make anyone feel as if they live just a few kilometers away from the sun. Because of this, Filipinos and people who live in the Philippines love all sorts cold desserts like the famous Filipino favorite, Halo-Halo. Aside from that colorful dessert creation, Filipinos also love ICE CREAM. Lots and lots of it. Different colors and different flavors. The more, the merrier. Recently, we were able to try out one of the newest ice cream parlors in town, Freezer Burn,Β in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Freezer Burn is the brainchild of young Filipino chefs, Miko Aspiras and Kristine Lotilla. The same duo that brought us the cookie haven, Scout’s Honor at Hole in the Wall.
