Burgers, burgers, and more burgers! That’s our dream for Manila’s burger game, to have more and more burger joints that will serve delicious burgers so that everyone will get to appreciate it more. In a rice-loving nation like ours, it’s truly challenging for burger joints to flourish. Why you may ask? Hmmm… Well, burgers are usually thought of as snacks or it’s not as filling as stuffing oneself with a cup or two of rice, with whatever meat and/or vegetable dish with it. Burgers can also be pretty pricey. It can be the same price as a rice meal or even more expensive than one. Maybe it’s also something that’s hard to share or split because it’s already “too small” to share. There are so many things going up against Manila having a little “Burger Culture” of its own, but there are still some great ones who have sort of withstood the test of time. Since its arrival in Manila late 2016, Mighty Quinn’s Philippines has been creating a buzz because of their signature slow smoked barbecue. Because of that, it has been in our eat list for almost two years now. However, its first location has been quite a challenge for us to go to. Thankfully, this year, the owners of Mighy Quinn’s Philippines decided to open its second branch. This time, it’s more accessible to us. We can finally try what they are famous for. Eight Coffee Bar by UCC – Rockwell, Makati
This past weekend, we visited and EATSperienced Eight Coffee Bar by UCC in Rockwell, Makati. It is located in 8 Rockwell and is just a few steps away from Power Plant Mall. Eight Coffee Bar by UCC is one of the many cafes under the UCC group here in the Philippines. UCC serves great coffee, pastries and savory dishes. Yes, they do serve savory dishes! Aside from being a few weeks old, we would like to share with you our Eight Coffee Bar by UCC EATSperience because of their new items on the menu that feature Adlai. It is locally grown and cultivated, a healthier and more nutritious substitute for rice and corn, high in fiber and gluten free, and also has sugar lowering properties.
