In our recent EATSperience, we were able to find a restaurant that is perfect for families, couples and friends who prefer a calm and relaxing vibe while having a great meal. It is the in-house cafe of Aruga by Rockwell. This hotel and serviced apartment has a a cafe that can surely satisfy the cravings of both in-house and walk-in guests. Aruga Cafe by Mesclun
Coming from the Filipino word “Aruga” meaning to nurture, Mesclun indeed gives their diners a relaxing and calm ambiance that can definitely nurture one’s inner peace. With the color hues and decorations, diners will definitely feel at home. Aruga Cafe by Mesclun is located at the ground floor of Aruga by Rockwell, which is just across Powerplant Mall.

When we halved the empanaditas, we instantly smelled the aroma of the truffle oil. It was packed with mushrooms and spinach that gave us earthy and fresh flavors.

Sweet and caramelized onions cooked in a flavorful beef broth, topped with creamy gruyere and emmental cheese.

It was our first time to try a sisig spaghetti and we loved it. Pork sisig in a light cream and spicy sauce, topped with chicharon bits.

Crispy and crunchy flatbread topped with shrimps, anchovies, onions, arugula, creme fraiche, finished with garlic oil. Definitely one of the best dishes of the night!

Similar with the first flatbread, however, this has a more refreshing taste. Flatbread topped with parma ham, onions, creme fraiche, arugula and lemon oil.
Juicy, tender and well-seasoned steak. The chimichurri has a refreshing flavor, while the demi-glaced mustard horseradish gravy has a sweet and tangy flavor.

This was another favorite of ours. Tender and juicy pork cooked in a sweet and thick guava adobo sauce. Great balance of sweet and salty flavors. Perfect with the rice pilaf and probably more rice.

Japanese cheesecake mixed with ube and topped with whipped cream. The perfect way to ed a lovely meal at Mesclun.
Aruga Cafe by Mesclun is the in-house food and beverage provider for the guests staying in Aruga by Rockwell, Makati. Providing breakfast and room service for stay-in guests. As for other diners, their ala carte selections is available from 6am-10pm.
