GEN is located seaside at SM by the Bay in the enourmous Mall of Asia Complex. The place looks like a K-pop music video set because of the lights, furniture, and overall ambiance. The place is pretty HUGE. It’s perfect for birthday celebrations, family reunions, nightout with friends, or simply random pigout sessions. A meal at GEN Korean BBQ House can cost you from Php 798+ for lunch (25 items) and Php 1,288+ for dinner, weekends, and holidays (35 items). For bottomless drinks like sodas, juices, iced tea, hot coffee and tea, all are priced at Php 138. Top Blade Premium Steak cooked right in front of us! Super tender and juicy piece of steak cooked the way we want it. If you are into steaks, you will surely get your money’s worth with this baby right here!
This one looked strange at first because of its purplish color from the red wine marinade. However, it tasted really really good that’s why it’s one of the things the we recommend at GEN. It’s probably one of the best samgyupsal we have ever had. Super tasty and tender piece of pork belly!

Thin slices of angus beef brisket is always a welcoming sight when it comes to all-you-can-eat EATSperiences! Why? Well, it takes a minute or two to cook and it tastes so damn good because of all the fat that’s in it. We easily finished two full plates of this one and we can’t wait to be back for more!

Kimchi and pork is always a good combination, right? GEN just made it even better when grilled together. Their signature pork cheek that’s somewhere in between chewy and tender when done the right way, goes perfectly with the spicy and tart kimchi.
Another GEN hack that we really enjoyed. Thin slices of beef grilled in sweet and spicy flavors. This surely is best paired with a cup or steamed rice. We definitely thanked the Manager on board for letting us EATSperience this amazing GEN hack.

One of GEN’s servers, Ms. Rose, was gracious enough to cook for us. She even reminded us to just eat and enjoy while she gets the grill going. She was very accommodating to our requests and also extremely knowledgeable about the items that are worth trying out. Talk about a quality service given by a well-trained staff. Thank you, Ms. Rose!
