Last week, we had the chance to spend the long weekend with our friends. A long weekend that resulted to a road trip to Nueva Ecija and Tarlac to visit Isdaan Floating Restaurant. Isdaan has become one of the most famous Filipino restaurants in Luzon since it’s inception around 15 plus years ago. It has been a long time since we last had a feast in Isdaan that’s why we were really excited when we found out that we will be going there. Years ago, a few of our fondest road trips ended with a feast at the first and only Isdaan in Gerona, Tarlac. Fast forward to now, Isdaan already has three branches, Tarlac, Laguna, and Nueva Ecija. Join us as we look around and Explore Isdaan Floating Restaurant in Talavera, Nueva Ecija in this edition of EATSplorations, enjoy!

Milkshake 101 at Shakeaway – BGC
Weather here in the Philippines has been encouraging me to indulge, every once in a while, on cold and sweet treats. You know—halo-halo, fruit shakes, and milkshakes. That’s why in this edition of EATSplorations, I will be sharing with you my EATSperience with Milkshake 101 at Shakeaway in BGC. Yes, Shakeaway’s second branch is at the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City. My wife and I have been really excited to visit Shakeaway to finally try what makes it special. However, when I had the chance to visit Shakeaway, my wife and baby were still asleep during our EATStaycation at F1 Hotel Manila when I visited, so you guys have to bear with me first. If you are looking into taking your special someone out on a date, The Fireplace is the place for you. Kaiseki at Kyo-to – Legaspi Village, Makati
Another first. Another memorable EATSperience. Yes, this was one of those EATSperiences that left us speechless—a meal that we marveled at. This EATSperience was at a restaurant that is considered to be one of Makati’s hidden gems. That hidden gem is Kyo-to. Named after the former imperial capital and cultural heart of Japan. At Kyo-to, diners will EATSperience the highest expression of Japanese gastronomy called “Kaiseki”. For first-timers like us, Kyo-to’s presser defined it as, “An elegant multiple course meal, served with the best seasonal ingredients”. Yes, we are in for another treat, but this time, what made it more special was the authentic EATSperience Kyo-to brought to the table. Join us as we eat and appreciate the art of Kaiseki at Kyo-to in Legaspi Village, Makati, enjoy! Continue reading…
