Weather here in the Philippines has been encouraging me to indulge, every once in a while, on cold and sweet treats. You know—halo-halo, fruit shakes, and milkshakes. The Philippines has become a home for sweet and cold treats because one, it is just extremely hot in here. Two, we, Filipinos, love sweet stuff. Agree? I know you do. That’s why in this edition of EATSplorations, I will be sharing with you my EATSperience with Milkshake 101 at Shakeaway in BGC. Yes, Shakeaway’s second branch is at the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City. My wife and I have been really excited to visit Shakeaway to finally try what makes it special. However, when I had the chance to visit Shakeaway, my wife and baby were still asleep during our EATStaycation at F1 Hotel Manila when I visited, so you guys have to bear with me first. Ready to find out what I have EATSperienced? Here it goes!
The World’s Largest Milkshake Bar Company!
Located at the 4th floor of Uptown Mall in BGC, Shakeaway is perfect for anyone who has a sweet tooth. The place is just filled with almost all the chocolate bars in the whole wide world. Milkshakes can be fruity, sweet, cakey, luxurious, chocolatey, biscuity, and everything else in between. There are thousands of possibilities for different flavor combinations based on the extensive list of flavors that they have.
Did I just say that they have almost every flavor in the world? Shakeaway is like heaven on earth!
Given the enormous number of flavors and possibilities, it might be a little bit confusing for a first-timer like me to make my own flavor. This was why my friends and I just resorted to trying their world-famous named shakes. There are 13 of them to be exact. Good thing there were three of us which means I can still taste two more milkshakes. We also tried one of their famous frozen yogurt flavors. Yes, this EATSperience is not for the faint of tummies. But it sure will be a lot of fun for milkshake-lovers. Join me as I shake myself away with Shakeaway’s frozen treats!
Don’t be surprised, this is not your ordinary tart-tasting froyo. As the owner shared with us, Shakeaway’s frozen yoghurt just has a little bit of tartness and is meant to be light to highlight the flavors from the various toppings that they offer. It actually makes sense. However, I still prefer to taste the tart yoghurt flavor because it just simply tastes better for me. What do you think?
This was really refreshing and perfect for the Filipino taste. Yes, it’s a no brainer. We, Filipinos, are crazy over mangoes! Nothing beats mango milkshake and this one was really really good. Perfect for the more health conscious milkshake-lovers!
If you love sweet chocolate milkshakes, this is the one for you! Yes, just imagine having ferrero, kinder bueno, and cadbury flakes in one bite. That’s the goodness that Dave has in one sip. Super smooth chocolate milkshake!
I chose this as my personal milkshake because I am a huge fan of mint chocolate. Thank goodness, Max didn’t fail me! Cool, refreshing, and oozing with delicious chocolate from all the chocolatey ingredients. I loved its super light texture too. Super easy to drink and to enjoy.
My friends and I had a great time even though we were still stuffed from lunch. I really enjoyed my mint chocolate shake named Max. That drink was perfect for a hot and humid afternoon in the city. A hot and humid afternoon that became sweet and refreshing. Thanks to Shakeaway’s amazing milkshakes. If you are looking for a place where to take your loved ones and friends for a glass of milkshake or two, make sure to check out Shakeaway. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Have an awesome day!
