Premium Burgers at Beefier in The Grid Food Market

Burgers, burgers, and more burgers! That’s our dream for Manila’s burger game, to have more and more burger joints that will serve delicious burgers so that everyone will get to appreciate it more. In a rice-loving nation like ours, it’s truly challenging for burger joints to flourish. Why you may ask? Hmmm… Well, burgers are usually thought of as snacks or it’s not as filling as stuffing oneself with a cup or two of rice, with whatever meat and/or vegetable dish with it. Burgers can also be pretty pricey. It can be the same price as a rice meal or even more expensive than one. Maybe it’s also something that’s hard to share or split because it’s already “too small” to share. There are so many things going up against Manila having a little “Burger Culture” of its own, but there are still some great ones who have sort of withstood the test of time. SHAKE SHACK IS FINALLY IN THE PHILIPPINES!!! Yes, I just had to type it in all caps, hehe! So happy that the world-famous burger store is finally here in Manila, more specifically in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. I, Mr. Eats, recently attended an exclusive media preview of Shake Shack Philippines just a few days before its grand opening to the public on May 10, 2019. [Hong Kong EATS] Shake Shack – IFC Mall

Travelling to Hong Kong with our little girl was a first. Aside from bringing her to HK Disneyland, our other main reason to visit Hong Kong was for the EATS. We find ourselves blessed to have a daughter who loves to eat just like us two. And when we say loves to eat, she literally tries and eats whatever we try and eat! Our first day was devoted for the happiest place on earth, and it definitely made the little miss and us happy. On to the second day, we started to go around to hunt for good EATS. And our feet brought us to the Central area via the Harbour Ferry in the afternoon. We remember our parents telling us during our first day that the famous burger joint Shake Shack is located in the Central area. We honestly didn’t plan to visit because they said that the queue was crazy long. But since we found our way crossing that long bridge and entering the IFC mall where that famous burger from New York City is located, we just tried our luck. Nostalgic EATSperiences are slowly coming back in the local food scene. Favorites from the 80’s and the 90’s are making their way back to our hearts, and yes, to our tummies. Past favorites making a comeback to let us, older folks, remember memorable EATSperiences. While introducing their concept and taste to the younger generations. In this edition of EATSplorations, I, Mr. Eats, will be sharing one of the many concepts from before that made its way back to the dining scene. Burgers by the LRT? The boy sitting on top of a barrel while holding a burger above his head? Buy one take one burgers? Sounds familiar? If you are in your late 20’s or older, you probably still remember that iconic LRT burger stall, Scott Burger! Yes, Scott Burger is making a comeback and it also has made a huge upgrade while still being very affordable.
