Open Table Restaurant – Scout Lazcano, Quezon City

It’s not very often when I, Mr. Eats, EATSperience something without my wife and baby. It’s also not very often when I go all the way to Quezon City just to EATSperience something new. Well, in this edition of EATSplorations it is not like one of those days when my wife and baby are not with me. Because I will be sharing an EATSperience that I went to on my own, and it’s in an area called Scout Lazcano in Quezon City. Thank God for the ASEAN break, I was able to travel from our place to Quezon City in just 30 minutes during lunch time. It’s a miracle, right? I was really pretty happy with the travel time that I experienced because I was looking forward to having a great time eating with friends in a restaurant that I have never tried before. And that restaurant is Open Table Restaurant at Scout Lazcano in Quezon City. If you are familiar with Capitol Medical Center, Open Table Restaurant is located just around a hundred meters away and is in a commercial area called 2 Lazcano. Open Table Restaurant serves up American food like ribs, burgers, and sandwiches, just to name a few. If you are up to discover a new place to EATSperience, you better keep on reading because Open Table Restaurant might just be your next go to eatery in Quezon City!

Welcome to Open Table Restaurant!

Open Table Restaurant is located in a commercial block (2 Lazcano) at the corner of Sct. Lazcano and Mother Ignacia in Quezon City. It’s just a few hundred meters away from Quezon Avenue. The place may not be as easily spotted as other restaurants because of its size and lack of visibility. As of now, Open Table Restaurant’s loyal patrons are families from the huge residential community in the area and from the ones looking for a place to drink and dine at after a long day at work.

Time to EAT!

This one had a monster-sized chargrilled all-beef patty that was super juicy. It was complemented perfectly by a generous amount of aioli dressing, caramelized onions, loads of cheese, and thick-cut fries on the side.

Guys, our beloved bacon just got more delicious and sinful with this creation, thanks to this intensely crispy beer battered bacon sandwich. Forget about beer battered fish because this one is the real deal. Believe me, you will love bacon even more with this genius of a creation!

My wife and I love aglio olio pasta so much and I will make sure that I let her try this one! Open Table Restaurant did justice to our favorite pasta dish by cooking up a really good version of theirs. I enjoyed the touch of bell peppers and shrimps for that added color and flavor. Well done!

2 piece of grilled pork chops, mashed potato, and rice! I enjoyed the smokey and tender pork chops so much. The rice and mashed potato was a carbs-on-carbs combo but both matched up really well with the pork chop so it was really hard to say no, hehe.

If you love sweet and spicy flavors to go along with a perfectly cooked pork belly, you will surely love this dish! This huge cut of pork belly was cooked for over 4 hours then grilled with a special blend of honey and tabasco sauce to achieve its sweet, spicy, and smokey taste and its extremely tender state. This dish is really a must try and is one of my favorites from this EATSperience!

Grilled boneless chicken marinated with herbs and spices made even better by its homemade chimichurri sauce. Just look at that char for a moment and thank me for sharing this dish to you because once you visit Open Table Restaurant, you will order this and you will love it.

Big in size and even bigger in taste! This bad boy can surely give other well-known ribs restaurants a run for their money. I don’t know how they do it but Open Table’s cooks are doing an amazing job in making their grilled dishes oh so yummy! This dish is another must try especially for those who love to get their hands dirty when eating. You will surely end up licking every bit of flavor off your fingers before it’s all said and done.

I had a great time at Open Table Restaurant and I can’t wait for the ladies of EATSplorations to try it out really soon, because it’s really a place worth sharing and discovering. The food might be a little pricey at first but wait until you taste what I just shared. Every single dish that I have EATSperienced were worth coming back for. But if I have to pick three dishes that I would share with my wife and baby, those three would be the Jerked Chicken, Honey Tabasco Pork Belly, and Pork Ribs.
