Masarap Ba? Masarap Nga! Yup, I am talking about the one, the only, Philippine Instagram sensation, MASARAP BA! Masarap Ba together with Novotel Manila Araneta Center has come up with a great collaboration that showcases some of Masarap Ba’s top local food businesses in a once in a lifetime food festival called “Masarap Nga! Meet and Eat” at Novotel Manila Araneta Center. Just in case you haven’t heard about Masarap Ba yet, he/she/it is the account that has over 200 thousand followers on Instagram and is adored because of her honest and witty reviews of various dishes and products in and out Metro Manila. Masarap Ba’s identity is still unknown but the account is so influential that a lot of products and dishes are so famous and loved because of he/she/it. Because of the accounts strong influence, the word “Ka-kulto” or cult followers has been coined for its followers. In this edition of EATSplorations, I will also be sharing my thoughts about my favorite dishes that were created by Novotel’s chefs using the phenomenal food products made by small and medium entrepreneurs. We love love love anything all-you-can-eat especially a Filipino-themed one. Just recently, we were blessed to have EATSperienced an all-you-can-eat buffet that has been made extra special by two amazing homegrown chefs, Chefs Sau del Rosario and Miko Aspiras. Two culinary powerhouses in a once in a lifetime feast for everyone to EATSperience. The buffet is called “Filipino Culinary Pride” at Corniche in Diamond Hotel Philippines. This food festival that runs until the 1st of July is a great reminder of how Filipino food and Filipino chefs can actually be world-class. [Holiday Day Inn Makati] Rustic Mornings and Flavors Sunday Brunch
Sausages, bacon, eggs, hash browns, pancakes, and waffles, just to name a few of our breakfast favorites. We are both huge fans of breakfast food and we tend to eat a lot so that our tummies are fueled up until lunchtime. Hence, the idea of brunch is nothing but genius for us. Being our food-loving selves, we are always in the hunt for something new to try. We have been hearing about this great brunch place in Marikina from our friends ever since we were based abroad. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the chance to try it out, even when we came back home a few years back, just because it is far from where we reside. Fortunately, this famous brunch place has an on-going collaboration with Flavors Restaurant at Holiday Inn and Suites in Makati City. Will we let this opportunity pass? Of course not!
