Lot 77 Bar & Cafe – Pampanga
There’s always a first time for everything! This past Saturday was my first time to EATSperience the food scene in the province of Pampanga in the Philippines’ Central Luzon region. I had to go alone because Mrs. Eats already had some plans that Saturday. Anyways, thanks to a good friend ours, Alexis Deocaris of ForkSpoonManila and some new found friends in Pampanga for the invite. I was able to EATsperience what some restaurants in the province has to offer. I have always wanted to join a culinary adventure in Pampanga. Why? Because it is known as the “Culinary Capital of the Philippines” wherein dishes like Sisig, Morcon, Lengua, Caldereta, Biringyi and many more were made famous. Good and enough reason, right? Chili’s – Greenbelt 5, Makati
Eating out has always been one of our common interests since we became a couple. We go out to eat every weekend and sometimes even on weeknights. Last Saturday was not different but more special. Aside from eating out, we also celebrated Mrs. Eats’ birthday and Baby Eats’ 6th month. At first, we couldn’t figure out where to dine because we wanted to try something and also have something that we have been craving for a long time. Can you guess what we chose? Llao llao Natural Frozen Yogurt has finally arrived in Manila! Read as “Yao Yao,” this frozen yogurt started in Spain and is taking over the world one cup of froyo at a time. It’s regarded as one of the healthiest products in the world because of its high nutritional value. Aside from being healthy and natural, its distinct yogurt taste, decadent sauces, and fresh and highly irresistible toppings easily made us crave for more. As big llao llao fans when we were in Jakarta, we had it almost every single Sunday after taking lengthy strolls around our favorite mall. Pancake House – Uptown Place Mall, BGC
It’s been almost two months since we arrived back in Manila. Before, when we would come back home it’s usually just for a few weeks of holiday. During those times, we would just binge eat on all of the food that we missed from months of being away. Now that we are back for good, we can slowly enjoy all of our favorites while trying out the new spots in town. One of our old favorites is Pancake House. They serve up all-day breakfast, Filipino favorites and lots of comfort food. Growing up, we have our own memorable Pancake House moments made in one of their outlets in Makati that includes our favorite pancakes, tacos and many more.
