Hello everyone! After almost a week of not being able to write about our recent EATS, we finally had time to write about one of our EATSperiences last month. We were able to visit one of the newest restaurants in Portico – Pasig, Sangkap by Chef Raymar Reyes. Sangkap means “ingredient” in Filipino, as the restaurant features all sorts of dishes with ingredients that highlight the different regional flavors of the Philippines. Because of that, we tried a number of Sangkap’s bestselling dishes from the different parts of the Philippines. Dishes that are truly Filipino with a twist. Find out if it all worked out well or not as you EATSperience Sangkap through our taste buds. Here goes our much-awaited Sangkap EATSperience, enjoy! Continue reading…

Last Saturday, we were invited by our friends from Zomato Philippines to EATSperience Yakumi’s Japanese Saturday Brunch at Solaire Resort & Casino. We said yes right away because who says no to an all you can eat Japanese food EATSperience, right? We both love Japanese food and consider it as one of our go to cuisines when we are in need of happy food after a long day. Anyways, let’s talk more about Solaire’s Japanese restaurant. Yakumi prides itself for using the freshest ingredients possible to its diners. One of their chefs told us that they even fly in fresh fish and other produce (around 3 to 4 times a week) to keep the food that they serve at a high level. Yes, their Saturday Brunch might be a tad expensive but that’s what you pay for if you want to eat dishes with the best ingredients, right? Yakumi’s Saturday Brunch is priced at Php 2,688 (plus 10% service charge). Don’t let it discourage you from trying it though because after reading this EATSperience, you might find yourself booking a table for two really soon. Our tummies are grumbling and we won’t keep you waiting, so here goes our Saturday Brunch at Yakumi EATSperience, enjoy! Continue reading…

Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen – SM North EDSA

Two weeks ago, it was a rare occasion for us to visit the northern part of Metro Manila. Considering where we live, any place that has Quezon City in its address seems like miles away because of the terrible Metro Manila traffic that we normally encounter. Anyways, we went to SM North EDSA to try out Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen. Fat Fook, as it is more commonly known, is a restaurant that features Taiwanese street food and traditional dishes. The place is known for their Chicken Chop, Fried Intestines, Spicy Pork Ears and many more. Sounds exciting so far? Get ready to EATSperience Taiwan through Fat Fook’s delectable Taiwanese dishes, enjoy! Continue reading…

Bao On The Block – Quezon City

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since the last time we shared an EATSperience in Quezon City. We have been guilty of just going around areas near our place like Makati and Bonifacio Global City. But since our baby’s pediatrician is based in Quezon City and we have to visit her for the monthly checkup, it gives us time to EATSperience restaurants that we rarely go to, and just simply appreciate what that side of Metro Manila has to offer. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will share with you about our latest Quezon City food find, Bao On The Block. It is located in Sgt. Esguerra just across ABS-CBN. This place serves up baos and rice bowls perfect for lunch and after work chow downs. We decided to visit Bao On The Block on a weekday lunch (during our school break) and it was pretty easy to go to. The place is small but it was decorated nicely, for diners who are simply looking for a place to dine at after a long day’s work. Continue reading…
