Manila, the battle of the food halls / food parks is not yet over. In the past couple of years, food halls / food parks have become a great part of how we dine as Filipinos. The usual food courts in malls have evolved into bigger and badder food venues with all sorts of different themes and vendors. There are around 20 food parks in Metro Manila alone and just recently, a new food hall just opened at The Podium. It houses 17 different food merchants that can cater to whatever cuisine or dish you are craving for. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing about our EATSperience at The Corner Market Food Hall in The Podium. The Corner Market is the Relish Group’s bet in the battle of the food halls all over the Metro and it really looks like it’s a force to be reckoned with. The Corner Market Food Hall – The Podium!

The Corner Market, the country’s first ever indoor farmer’s market and food hall, has opened on the second level of The Podium. It was inspired by La Boqueria in Barcelona, The Torvehallerne Market in Copenhagen, and the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne. The Corner Market is definitely a place where we can get good quality food and fresh produce. If you are living or working around Ortigas Center, The Corner Market might just be your next go to place for lunch, coffee, snacks, dinner, and even buying fresh produce!

The Corner Market might look small at first but it spans 1,200 square meters, with 17 different merchants and a dining area that can accommodate 450 diners. That’s a lot of diners, right?! To have a better look at what’s inside The Corner Market, please watch the video below, enjoy!

Lobster cooked to your liking at Catch of the Day by Cold Storage

Ribeye Steak and Mashed Potatoes from Meat Depot Mini

Unique to The Corner Market are vendors like Catch of The Day by Cold Storage (Lobsters, Prawns, and Fish and Chips) and The Meat Depot (Chicharon Bulaklak and Ribeye Steak), where customers can choose their own kind of seafood or cut of meat and have it cooked on the spot for an elevated take on dampa dining.

Fresh organic produce, flowers, and grab-and-go salads (Japanese Kani Salad and Lemon Yogurt Bowl on Adlai with Chicken) are also available from Gusto, where everything is sourced from their family farm in Rizal.

These three unique food merchants stood out for us because foodies like us can pick and choose what we want to eat and how we want it cooked. We can also buy frozen and fresh produce from them and bring it home and cook it the way we want it. Items from them are reasonably priced, too!

6 Asian food merchants to choose from!

The Corner Market has a wide range of cuisines from all over the world. It has 6 Asian food merchants. 6 food stalls that are emerging and one-of-a-kind. First is Sari-Salo by Myron’s (soon to open), homegrown hits like Inasal Sisig and Angus Beef Tapa are some of the items to look forward to.

Salmon Tofu Pockets from Inari by Hamaru

If you are looking for something Japanese, Inari by Hamaru serves up modern Japanese EATS (Tofu Pockets, Black Rice Sushi, and Oysters) that will surely make you come back for more!

Vietnamese EATS from Ca Phe Saigon

Ca Phe Saigon offers heirloom Vietnamese recipes and a vertical basil garden where you can pick your own leaves to add to your Pho. Make sure to check out their Pho, Banh Mi, and Fresh Spring Rolls!
