The Great Eatscape: Tamarind, SM Aura

Hello everyone! We are finally back to finish our five part series about SM Aura Premier and ForkSpoonManila’s The Great Eatscape. After 4 fantastic restaurants, we were really really FULL. We were nearing the point of no return when we were on our way to the last restaurant of the day. The last of five Sky Park restaurants that we visited that day was Tamarind: Taste of Thai. As the name says, this place serves Thai food which means lots of different flavors from different Southeast Asian herbs and spices. We momentarily forgot that we were already stuffed when we entered Tamarind. The aroma coming from the freshly cooked dishes in their super busy kitchen was enough to remind us that we can still do it. We can still hang on for the last restaurant of the day. Find out if we made the right decision or not as you keep on reading our Tamarind EATSperience. Continue reading…

Oishi Great Lakes – Fruit Juice

A couple of weeks back, we received a beautiful package from our friends from Oishi. We were surprised at first because we know Oishi as a famous brand that makes all sorts of tasty chips we have grown to love. But juice? Hmmmm…. Yes, it did sound strange at first but, Oishi really does have a line of juices by the name Oishi Great Lakes. We received LOTS of grape and apple juice in both big and small packaging. LOTS—meaning good enough to share with our families and friends. With just the way it was packed, it got us really excited to try it out to see what makes it different from other local juice brands. What do you think will Oishi Great Lakes’ edge be? Continue reading…

Yellow Box Rice Company – Katipunan, Quezon City

Hello everyone! Work just keeps getting busier and busier by the minute and it keeps getting harder and harder to write some of our recent EATSperiences. Good thing, we had a bit of a spare time coming off a hectic weekend. A couple of weeks back, we were able to EATSperience an eatery outside of our usual go to dining hotspots. This eatery is located along Katipunan Avenue in Quezon City which is 13 kilometers away from where we stay to be exact. It was really far but we made it all the way there because we heard that the food there is really good. Our featured eatery for this EATSperience is the Yellow Box Rice Company. It is located just outside La Vista Village in Katipunan Avenue. Yellow Box Rice Company or YBRC for short is a small restaurant where diners can get a variety of bang for buck rice in a box meal. We can still remember how tasty and affordable rice in a box meals were back when we were still in college. That was like how many *secret* years ago! We had a really nostalgic feeling right when we stepped inside YBRC. Remembering the good old days when we survived long days mainly because it had heaps of rice and lots of flavor. Get your tummies ready Continue reading…
