[NEW MENU] Canton Road – Shangri-La Fort Manila

Manila – To celebrate the restaurant’s first year anniversary, Canton Road launches new flavors and fare beginning July 12, 2017. A year after its opening, the restaurant introduces several signature dishes sure to entice the palate of its diners. The fare is representative of the various provinces in China: Canton, Fujian, Sichuan and Huaiyang. Ingredients like local yam, crispy chili flakes and bourbon whisky bring a unique twist and flavor to the dishes. “People always want something fresh and new to try. For a restaurant to be successful, it is important that we as chefs listen to what our diners have to say. In the process of completing this menu, we took into huge consideration what the market desires but still reflect Canton Road’s food concept which is where modern meets traditional.” says Chef Wang Wei Qing, Canton Road’s Executive Chinese Chef.

Canton Road’s NEW a la carte dishes!

Roasted whole free range chicken stuffed with glutinous rice, conpoy, dried shrimp, preserved meat and black mushroom (Preparation time: at least 30mins)
Crispy stuffed crab claw with hibiscus sauce
Fried pork ribs infused with shrimp paste with assorted fruit salad
Crispy chicken in iceberg lettuce with crispy yam and sesame sauce
Bird’s nest almond soup in coconut
Braised seafood soup with crab roe and fish maw

Lunch service is from 11:30AM to 2:30PM while dinner service is from 6PM to 10:30PM daily. A la carte menus are available all day.

NEW Delectable Dim Sum Delights

Canton Road adds to its dim sum collection for lunch. With a focus on cold appetizers and stir-fried items, Canton Road serves comfort dishes reminiscent of iconic Chinese street food fare.

In Chinese, dim sum literally means “a touch of heart” emanating from the traditional practice of having tea while indulging in conversations with friends – delicate dishes are served steamed, fried, baked based on recipes that were mastered over the years. Today, dim sum is typically eaten for lunch as a quick and easy option that is perfect for those who are on-the-go. Canton Road’s new dim sum dishes are inspired by the grab-and-go concept, wherein guests can enjoy a casual business meeting over a diverse selection of traditional dim sum dishes.

Lunch service is daily from 11:30AM to 2:30PM and dinner service is from 6PM to 10:30PM. A la carte menus are available all day.
