10 Most Favorite EATSperiences of 2017

2017 has been a year filled with so much fun, friendship, and FOOD. We have met and gained so many new friendships because of what we do. In return, we also gained a lot of new EATSperiences and of course, weight. Kidding aside, we would like to say thank you to all our new-found friends who were a big part of our 2017. This year wouldn’t have been so much fun without you guys. We are also very grateful for all the EATSperiences that we have had. Fast food, home-based businesses, hole in the wall, travel, hotels, fine-dining, and many more. We want to thank you all for taking the time to read and appreciate what we do as EATSplorations. After sharing our previous EATSperiences in our mini food crawl at SM North Edsa, we are finally down to our third and final stop. After having Chinese food for lunch, Korean favorites for dessert, it’s finally time to EATSperience… Japanese EATS at Dohtonbori at SM North! We’ve always had a perception that Japanese food is a work of art. As we’ve seen Japanese chefs exhibit passion by delicately making different dishes, which makes it so interesting to eat and to learn about Japanese food. 2 Saturdays ago, we were in The Choice Awards event at SMX convention center. After having an eventful afternoon, our tummies started to grumble and good thing our friends were hungry too. So we decided to have dinner at a nearby restaurant. Hibana – Legaspi Village, Makati

Ever heard of this quote before? “Have the passion to take the action, and magic will happen.” Well, it reminded us of how Chef Mark Tan (not Mr. Eats, hehe) has taken his passion for food into a whole new level with the inception of Hibana in Legaspi Village, Makati. In case you were wondering, Hibana means “spark” in English and it was Chef Mark’s love for Japanese food that sparked his love for cooking. That spark can also be found in his robatayaki cooking method, in which food are slowly grilled over hot charcoal.
