So, if you love Japanese food and drinks, you must certainly need to keep reading to find out more about Yakumi’s Saturday Brunch!
Yakumi Saturday Brunch at Solaire Resort!
Yakumi, as you guys know, is Solaire’s in-house Japanese restaurant. It is located at the ground level near the VIP entrance of Solaire.
Yakumi prides itself of using the freshest ingredients available. They don’t have a freezer for their meat and seafood. Why? Because everything is FRESH. Meat and seafood are even flown in or delivered on the day just to ensure quality and freshness. Top that!
Yakumi features a great view of Manila Bay during lunch time. The place looks really lovely with all that natural light coming in from the bay. If you will be trying out the Saturday Brunch, make sure to reserve a table by or near the glass panels so that you can enjoy the delicious food together with the beautiful view.
Sashimi, Sushi, Teppanyaki, Robatayaki, Tempura, Okonomiyaki, and so much more. For only Php 2,688+, you will get to enjoy more than 6 stations of fresh and high quality Japanese food! Make sure to pace yourself well because of the great number of high quality Japanese food that’s there for you to devour! The price also includes drinks and cocktails to complete the brunch EATSperience.
Probably our favorite station at the Yakumi Saturday Brunch, the Teppanyaki Station! Just look at those plump and juicy scallops being grilled by one of the chefs there. They also have lots of high quality meat and seafood just waiting to be cooked on the teppanyaki grill! TIP: Make sure to try the ribeye, scallops and prawns. We got lots of it and it was extremely worth all the calories!
Surf ‘n Turf Yakumi style! Ribeye and scallops for that tender and juicy meat and seafood combo. We probably had at least 3 plates of this combo. It was that good!
This one has chicken, salmon, prawns, and scallops! We were serious when we said they have lots of meat and seafood to choose from at the Teppanyaki Station. All you got to do is ask nicely, of course!
Tuna flown straight from the famous seafood haven in Tokyo, Tsukiji Market. The tuna from Tsukiji is sliced tableside on a cart. It is that FRESH! Our faces were beaming with so much happiness when we saw how awesome the quality of the tuna sashimi is. Yes, they have this every single Saturday. This alone will make this EATSperience one of a kind. Awesome stuff, Yakumi!
Sashimi and Sushi rolls all you can, too! Yakumi has all sorts of nigiri and maki rolls to choose from. If you are a sushi and sashimi kind of person, you will surely have a grand time at the Yakumi Saturday Brunch!
Yakumi’s Chef Nori (left), checking out the Tempura Station which has different kinds of mushrooms, vegetables, and seafood waiting to be deep fried. If you love tempura, this station will surely tickle your senses. Nothing beats freshly fried tempura! TIP: Pick your own tempura and have the chef cook it while you wait. The fresher, the better.
The Yakumi Saturday Brunch also has an Okonomiyaki Station! Again, different kinds of seafood, meats, and veggies cooked fresh in making that perfect okonomiyaki. This station also has some tasty gyoza and Japanese fried rice.TIP: Order ahead of time and make sure to know what your table number is so that Yakumi’s servers can just bring your order to you.
Grilled seafood and meats at the Robatayaki Station! You will never miss this station because it features all sorts of freshly grilled items off the skewer. Our favorite here is obviously the grilled prawns.
Shabu Shabu from the a la carte menu (also all you can eat)! Thin slices of beef in a light broth and ponzu sauce on the side. Comfort food at its finest! TIP: Yakumi has an a la carte menu that features different kinds of ramen and shabu shabu. It is all inclusive in the Php 2,688+ that you’re paying for.
If you are in to have a good time, make sure to check out the Japanese-inspired drinks at the Cocktails Station! We forgot the real Japanese name but never go home without trying the Yuzu Iced Tea with Whisky. It’s sweet and refreshing! Perfect after all the savory Japanese food that you will be eating.
Finally, Dessert Station! The Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream is seriously a must try! The Matcha-flavored one is a crowd favorite so make sure to go for it right away before it runs out. Yakumi’s Saturday Brunch also has a whole lot of Japanese-inspired desserts for everyone to indulge in.
Yakumi just reminded us why it’s considered to be one of the best Japanese restaurants in town. The quality of ingredients alone is more than enough reason why one should come over and try the Yakumi Saturday Brunch out. The food and service were impeccable. Definitely a five star EATSperience worth coming back for. It might come of as a little too pricey but once you try it out, you will find out why it’s worth every peso. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations, ’til next time!
