Bay Area Eats at Milagritos – TRYP by Wyndham

The SM Mall of Asia Complex right at the Manila Bay area of Pasay City never runs out of good food choices. It is home to hundreds or even maybe thousands of restaurants that serve Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Mexican, American, Italian, and so on. This edition of EATSplorations is about one of them! It was a rainy Saturday morning when we made our way to one of the hotels in the Mall of Asia complex. We were really hungry, thanks to the traffic jam near our area caused by a number of flooded streets. Good thing, after almost an hour and a half, we finally arrived at TRYP by Wyndham! [Shore Residences] One Pot Chinese Hotpot

I love love love HOTPOT! It’s one of my favorites after a long and tiring day. I just love the comfort it gives me in every single slurp of its hot hot broth. I love hotpot but I have never tried it the Szechuan way. Since the Szechuan-style of Chinese cooking is known for being spicy, I have always been afraid to try it because I am not really a spicy food type of guy. Thanks to one of my friends, I finally had the courage and hunger (haha) to try some spicy hotpot. Once the calendar hits December, people start to get busy. As the most wonderful time of the year is fast approaching. It is also the season to shop for gifts and to spend for potlucks and gatherings. And as we feel the Christmas rush, we find ourselves moving towards the practical side when it comes to eating out. We’ve always had a perception that Japanese food is a work of art. As we’ve seen Japanese chefs exhibit passion by delicately making different dishes, which makes it so interesting to eat and to learn about Japanese food. 2 Saturdays ago, we were in The Choice Awards event at SMX convention center.
