Recently, we have gone to Backyard Kitchen and Brew at Uptown Mall in BGC to try out their new dishes. Well, it was also our first time to dine at Backyard and honestly, we were really impressed on how the place looked and the vibe it made us feel. Before, we thought that Backyard was just another drinking place where the food is just so so but after trying out the 11 new dishes and 2 new desserts, we realized that Backyard Kitchen and Brew was for real. If you have tried Backyard before, find time to visit it again after work, during your lunch break, or when you go out on the weekends. We are huge fans of how Filipinos turn any cake and pastry into a work of culinary art. All around Manila alone, homemade cakes and pastries can be found for everyone to enjoy. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will share with you one of our prized finds from Christmas of 2015, the Chocolate Decadence Cake by Joconde Cakes and Pastries. We still remember the time when we saw it from an Instagram post of a friend of ours. It was love at first sight! Just from the looks of it, we knew that it was something special. We got their number right away, ordered, and the rest was history.
