Lineup of NEW Backyard dishes by Chef Ed Bugia!
Here’s the young and very talented chef of Backyard, Chef Ed Bugia! Together with his partners at Backyard, Chef Ed developed new dishes and platters to satisfy the cravings of big groups of diners. Which means—most of the new dishes at Backyard have big portions and are for sharing. Chef Ed also highlighted the use of Hanger Steak in some dishes because of its beefiness and quality.
Here are the NEW dishes of Backyard! Let’s EAT!

(grilled buttered sweet corn with mayo, ricotta cheese, and chives)
Php 220
Shredded or eaten off the cob, this is a welcome addition to the already stacked menu of Backyard Kitchen + Brew because of its smoky and savory flavor. We loved Backyard’s version of this Mexican grilled corn!

(homemade caesar dressing, romaine, hanger steak, bacon, parmesan cheese, croutons, and lemon ash)
Php 295
For only Php 295, steak and salad in one dish? Why not! This was one of the many ‘sulit’ dishes at Backyard. The steak cut might not be the usual expensive cut but it was tender and it was packed with lots of flavor.

(hanger steak and bacon, steak sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, onions, and peppers)
Php 295
Crispy flatbread with heaps of steak and bacon, what more can you ask for, right? We got at least 2 strips of this flatbread because it was really delicious and meaty. This loaded flatbread is perfect for sharing with friends and family.

(grilled baguette, hanger steak, caramelized onions and peppers, provolone and cheddar cheese sauce, romesco sauce, and fresh cut potato chips)
Php 460
Backyard’s Philly Cheesesteak looked almost exactly like the ones we would normally see on TV. The hanger steak and the homemade cheese sauce combination was extremely tasty! Well done, Chef Ed!

(fettucine with salted egg alfredo sauce, prawns, and leeks)
Php 355
Creamy and rich pasta dish with a generous amount of beautifully cooked prawns!

(Backyard burger patty, egg, steak fried rice, macaroni salad, gravy, and homemade steak sauce)
Php 355
Flavorful patty with well-seasoned steak fried rice. This plate of loco burger steak is perfect to fill-up hungry bellies.

(char grilled hanger steak, fresh cut fries, and 2 sunny side up eggs)
Php 510
A brunch staple that can be eaten anytime of the day. Tender char-grilled hanger steak with a sweet and tangy sauce, sealed with fries and eggs.

(local mussels in beer and lime soda broth with garlic, onion, and cilantro)
Php 275
The seafood tasted fresh and the cilantro gave a refreshing flavor to the already flavorful broth. This dish fits to be a good “pulutan”.

(beer battered fish fillet, fresh cut fries, mashed peas, and tartar sauce)
Php 320
Lightly battered fish cooked to a perfect crisp. Not to mention, we liked the how comforting the mashed peas and fresh cut fries were.

(300g hanger steak, 250g prawns in garlic butter, mashed potato, french beans, and roasted cherry tomatoes)
Php 950
We liked the consistency in how they cook their hanger steak. Tender and grilled well. The shrimps were plump and juicy and the mashed potato was creamy.

(half slab of coffee crusted baby back ribs, 2pcs waffle fried chicken with cinnamon sugar, and maple butter)
Php 890
Oh these coffee crusted baby back ribs! The coffee crust seeped through the meat of the ribs which made it really tasty. The waffle fried chicken was amazing, too. The cinnamon sugar and maple syrup was really present in the batter of the chicken.

(multi-layered chocolate cake with mantecado ice cream)
Php 225

(leche flan topped New York style cheesecake)
Php 225
After devouring all these mouthwatering dishes, time to satisty our sweet cravings. The choco cake was moist and was loaded with chocolate. The mantecado ice cream was a perfect pair. The leche flan cheesecake was creamy and smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Craving satisfied!
