A meal tucked between breakfast and lunch has been a thing for a lot of diners nowadays. Brunch as it is commonly known, allows people to be more sociable, because it is not too early to eat and socialize. And it can fill-up a hungry tummy that can last up until dinner. There are so many brunch options now in the Metro and we have recently EATSperienced one of the newest brunch spots in town, located in Makati City. In this edition of EATSplorations, join us as we talk about a relaxing Sunday morning during our Boozy Like Sunday Morning at Poblacion Dining Room EATSperience.
Ready to EATSperience Boozy Like Sunday Morning at Poblacion Dining Room?
Poblacion Dining Room is located next to Commune coffee shop, both located at Polaris Street in Poblacion. As we made our way inside, we felt like we were literally in a dining room of a house. With its black walls and the natural light seeping through the window, the place was cozy and homey. The table set-up and the cheese buffet table, both had chic styling that made the ambiance more relaxing. The person behind this lovely set up is none other than, Chichi Tullao of the Happy Tummy Travels.

Boozy Like Sunday Morning is a collaborative work of the creative minds of people who share the same love and passion for food. Chef Mickey Garcia of Poblacion Dining Room is the mind behind the delectable dishes served. Karla Reyes of La Petite Fromagerie for the superb cheese buffet. Chichi Tullao of HTT Styling for the beautfully decorated set-up. And, Ken Alonso of Proudly Promdi for the localized alcoholic beverages. In their own expertise, they came up with the idea of putting everything together to let diners experience one amazing brunch.
Priced at P1995++ Boozy Like Sunday Morning is an 8-course sit down buffet with a cheese buffet, it is also inclusive of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It is on a reservation basis which can accommodate 15 people. So if you are looking for a private function room good for 15 people, Poblacion Dining Room featuring Boozy Like Sunday Morning is a perfect option.
The Cheese Table by La Petite Fromagerie

If you love cheese, the cheese buffet by La Petite Fromagerie is perfect for you. While waiting for the dishes to be served, the cheese buffet was a main stay all throughout the brunch. Crackers, toasts, marbled potatoes, walnuts, berries, breads and pastries are all included in the buffet. Of course, the different cheeses were the stars, specifically, the raclette. As the dishes were served, we thought of indulging in the raclette cheese more. There were some dishes that we topped off with raclette and we kept coming back to the cheese buffet to EATSperience ultimate cheesiness.
Pinoy-inspired Cocktails by Proudly Promdi
Drinks by Proudly Promdi and Swizzle Mobile Bar promote local rice wine and alcohol in concocting refreshing cocktails with Filipino flavors that are the perfect pair to Chef Mickey’s dishes and La Petite Fromagerie’s cheese buffet.
New Dishes by Chef Mickey Garcia

This was one awesome refreshingly tasty salad! We enjoyed the contrasting textures and flavors from all the ingredients. Great start to a filling brunch!

We are certainly not into healthy looking toasts but Chef Mickey effortlessly made us love this dish big time. It’s all about the perfect crunch and juicy veggies! Well done, Chef!

The star of this awesome dish was the deceivingly delicious smoked tanguigue c/o Plaza Catering! Don’t worry, the egg was cooked beautifully, too (watch the clip below). This was one of the best dishes of the day and probably one of the best Eggs Benedict we have ever had.

It just keeps getting better. Sweet, savory, garlicky longganisa pandesal. This dish was the ultimate comfort food of the day. It was so so good but we still had to make it even more awesome by topping it off with Raclette. Yes, we did.

No freakin’ way! Plaza Ham on top of a warm and fluffy ensaymada was just too much. This brunch was just too good to be true. Every layer of this dish was too damn good. A second serving of this would have been perfect if we had more tummy space.

We have finally reached the last savory dish of Boozy Like Sunday Morning and it is with this lovely pasta dish by Chef Mickey. The combination of zucchini cream and lemon worked so well. Refreshing with a touch of bitterness in the end. Watch the clip below and thank us later.

This one of a kind EATSperience of ours ended with a scoop of one of the best local ice creams in town, Carmen’s Best. Both were really good but the Dark Chocolate just had more to it. What a way to end an amazing brunch!

That was one amazing Sunday brunch! It was intimate, relaxing and we were really stuffed to the brim. We enjoyed every dish and the cheese buffet was delish. An impressive collaboration that we will surely recommend for those who are looking for a Sunday brunch spot. If you want some good food, cocktails, and a whole lot of cheese, check out Boozy Like Sunday Morning at Poblacion Dining Room right away. You will surely love it! That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations. ‘Till next time!
