Sunday Brunch at Mireio in Raffles Makati!
Located on the 9th floor of Raffles Makati, Mireio serves up a Provencal-inspired cuisine and other French favorites.
Mireio, if we may say, has one of the most stunning interiors in the metro. Its floor-to-ceiling glass windows gives the sunny skies a big role in lighting the whole restaurant, while at night, the Makati skyline is the star. Perfect for brunch with family and friends, and a romantic date night with your loved one.
One of the highlights at Mireio is the Luxe Sunday Brunch. A perfect way to spend your Sunday with your family or with your friends. Priced at Php 2,750+ per person, one can enjoy a sumptuous buffet feast that has a well-curated spread. If you are into pairing up your meal with Moet and Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne or select wines, cocktails, or other beverages, brunch will be priced at Php 4,200+ per person.
Now let’s move on to the spread! First, an assortment of cheese, charcuterie, terrines and antipasti was what welcomed us.
They also have a section where salad-lovers will literally drool! Serving plates of fresh greens, topped with fresh vegetables and cheeses, and an array of sauces. Eating healthy has never been this good! Haha!
What is a Provencal-inspired cuisine if there’s no Bouillabaisse! A comforting bowl of rich and flavorful stew with fresh seafood. We definitely had a taste of the sea.
Other stations include the egg station where you have choices how you want your eggs done. And the tartare station that serves up fresh tuna, salmon and scallops.
See how the natural light made the selection of crustaceans shine? Perfect isn’t?! Fresh lobsters, tiger prawns, crabs, mussels and clams prepared to your own liking. How amazing is that!
If there is a seafood station, there is a carving station, too! For meat-lovers like us, this was heaven! Tender and juicy Australian Wagyu Beef Rump, crispy and flavorful Porchetta and a huge and tasty New Zealand leg of Lamb.
Your choice of meat paired with your choice of roasted vegetables and sauce!
They also have a live Risotto station with prepared a la minute!
To cap things off, lovely and elegant variety of desserts will seal your meal. Eclairs, macarons, cakes, and chocolates, with a cup of brewed coffee or tea. Your brunch meal will surely end on a happy note.
Now that we have talked about what is in the buffet spread of Luxe Sunday Brunch, time to share with you some of our personal choices!
First plate, something light yet tasty to jump start our meal. Slices of salami, Bayonne ham, soft roll, and a slice of Camembert cheese.
Second plate, salad. Cherry tomatoes, french beans, Burrata cheese, and greens. Its always a refreshing treat to have a plate of salad as part of our meal!
Since we love salmon, we got salmon tartare prepared by the chef. We loved the natural sweet flavor from the salmon complemented by the freshness of the vegetables!
Eggs Benedict with Salmon will always be a brunch favorite of ours. So we didn’t think twice when we went to the egg station and had this made. Poached egg with that runny yolk, topped on a slice of muffin and salmon with that great-tasting hollandaise sauce.
Of course, something for the little one! Freshly made risotto with Porcini mushrooms, truffles and Parmesan cheese. We loved how creamy the risotto was and how the fragrant truffle added so much flavor to it. Baby Eats definitely enjoyed this one and almost finished a whole bowl of this!
Now onto the parents’ favorite! Haha! A slice of Australian Wagyu Beef Rump with roasted vegetables. We had at least 4 slices of this bad boy, each! It was that good! Really juicy and tender and we couldn’t resist not having this over and over again.
The crustacean station was irresistible too! Just look at how fresh these babies are! We love butter garlic, so we had it cooked that way and boy, did we have a good time savoring these fresh catch!
Every part of the buffet spread was just so hard not to try. From antipasti’s down to desserts! Everything looked enticing and it didn’t just look good, the taste and the execution was even better. Our favorites from the dessert spread were the calamansi meringue eclair, dark chocolate Black Emperor cake and the classic French macarons.
What do we love about this brunch special? First, the ambiance and superb 5-star service! We’ve never had a buffet brunch as chill and as relaxing as this. The servers and chefs were on point in providing the best service expected from a brand like theirs. Sometimes, we didn’t even need to ask. They were always there. Amazing service! Then of course, the food! It may be a bit pricey but believe us, with the quality of the food that they serve and the well-curated dishes, it is worth every peso. Besides, it is not bad to indulge every once in a while and give yourself a treat.
