Just last week, we were treated to a fine selection of Argentine meats at Sage Bespoke Grill in Makati Shangri-La. It was a special steak EATSperience because we were also introduced to the NEW main man of the Sage’s kitchen. It was also no coincidence that he hails from the same country where the meat is from and where they take it very seriously. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing our latest EATSperience entitled “A Taste of Argentina at Sage Bespoke Grill” in Makati Shangri-La. In this special EATSperience, we will be sharing about a wonderful trio steak plate from Argentina by Bolzico Beef and cooked by Sage’s NEW Chef de Cuisine. If you love a good piece of steak, you have to keep on reading! Enjoy!
Sage Bespoke Grill – Makati Shangri-La!
Sage Bespoke Grill is located at the 2nd floor of the Makati Shangri-La.
This enormous wine selection welcomed us as we walked to our table. Their F&B team also prepared a couple of Argentine wine to properly pair up with the steaks that they will be serving.
It was an intimate lunch with a few friends from the blogging industry and the media. Of course, the Marketing and F&B Teams of Makati Shangri-La were also there to welcome us.
It ain’t a real steakhouse without these bad boys! If you are going to a “war” you might as well have the right weapon, right? The steak knives on the left side of this photo were imported from Argentina. In case you didn’t know, Argentina is well-known for their beef. Since being introduced to cattle by the Spanish conquistadors in the 1500’s, Argentina has been home to great quality beef due to its huge grasslands.
After listening to Chef Sebastian’s stories about his journey as a chef, it’s finally time to have A Taste of Argentina (available now until March 31)! Again, this steak EATSperience was brought to us by Sage Bespoke Grill’s Argentinian Chef, Chef Sebastian with the Argentine Beef from Bolzico Beef.
Bread, butter, and sweet potato chips before the main event.
Scallop Ceviche
This lovely appetizer bursts with so much flavor, color, and texture. The freshness of the various citrus ingredients complemented the natural sweetness of the fresh scallop really well. A great start to an amazing meal at Sage Bespoke Grill!
Argentine Beef Trio – Oyster Blade, Rib-Eye, and Tenderloin! All 3 cuts were imported by Bolzico Beef from Urien Loza Carnes, Argentina. An order of each includes Young Charred Vegetables, Goat Cheese, and Thyme Crumble.
The weapon of choice resting on a bone marrow sourced by Chef Nicola Canuti himself. Talk about attention to detail, right?
Each order of steak comes with a sauce of your choice. Since this EATSperience was an official tasting, we got to try all 3 sauces – Chimichurri, Criolla, and Smoked Red Chill Sauce.
Oyster Blade (Php 1,400++) /Ā *actual serving size should be bigger*
Rib-Eye (Php 1,900++) / *actual serving size should be bigger*
Tenderloin (Php 1,800++) / *actual serving size should be bigger*
Molten Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream
A classic dessert to end an amazing meal! This one was definitely made perfectly. Just look at how the chocolate oozes out from the center. Really decadent dessert! A perfect way to cap off a great meal by Chef Sebastian. Thank you, Chef!
