70 Years of Culinary Excellence by Movenpick!

Movenpick Resort and Spa Boracay is currently highlighting the culinary traditions that the Movenpick Group has had for seven decades in their all-day dining outlet, The Market. At The Market, guests can EATSperience this limited-time only offering of Movenpick’s delectable savory dishes that marry the old with the new. They re-imagined menu favorites, including some of their most popular “signature dishes”, to please diners’ palates in a new and exciting way.
Time to EATSperience the 70 Years of Movenpick’s Culinary Excellence!

A reinvention of Movenpick’s popular beef tartare with a Mediterranean touch. I enjoyed this lovely dish very much because of the perfectly seared scallops. Its sweetness helped me get over the taste of avocados which I don’t normally like eating. All in all, a very colorful, tasty, and healthy dish. Perfect for summer body conscious guests like me, haha!

The Salade Belle Fermiere is a lively interpretation of a dish made famous by an old American movie. At first, I thought this dish was kind of simple compared to the other dishes but I was proven wrong when I tried it out. The chicken, greens, pear compote, and the cocktail sauce surprisingly went well together in creating a symphony of amazing flavors.

A great savory take on the mille feuille using their signature smoked salmon with puff pastry and golden olive caviar. This dish caught my attention right away because of its beauty. I loved how generous they were with the sumptuous smoked salmon and the crunch from the puff pastry. All in all, perfection combination of flavors and textures in one classy dish.

A meat-free version of Zurich-style veal that pairs aromatic root vegetables and smoky Shiitake mushrooms. This dish was top-notch even though it didn’t have any meat. I loved how perfectly seasoned the ingredients were and how amazing the potato patty tasted. I would choose to eat this everyday for breakfast and for lunch. It was that good!

A medley of steamed seafood and an assortment of citrus fillets in what tasted like a light curry sauce. My hands down favorite of this EATSperience! Who can say no to fresh seafood paired with a tasty sauce with a little bit of heat, right? It’s usually paired with wild rice but I loved dipping some toasted bread because the sauce was simply irresistible. This dish is highly-recommended!

Prime beef patties with crispy ultra-thin parmesan-dusted fries. A great protein-rich option for the health buff in you. I enjoyed this so much because it’s a healthier and more refined take on the usual burger and fries. The herbed butter on the side was a great complement to the flavor of the prime beef patty.

A quirky interpretation of the classic Swiss carrot cake. The waffle was light, crispy, and citrusy which I loved so much. It’s a great way to end a meal filled with so many savory dishes. This plate of sweetness is perfect after a long day at the beach! Well done, Movenpick!

I really enjoyed this whole EATSperience. Thanks to Movenpick Boracay’s chefs and cooks for being able to execute the dishes perfectly! I loved the balance of flavors and textures through their carefully picked ingredients and recipes in re-creating old dishes to cater to the younger generation of diners. If you are planning to visit Boracay anytime until April 20, make sure to try out Movenpick’s special dishes. You will definitely have a great time.
