Christmas season can be a really busy time for a lot of us, that it can be hard to find a time when to schedule gatherings and reunions. And the month of January is usually an option to have post-Christmas gatherings or rather to start the New year with a celebration. 2 weekends ago, we had our New Year celebration with our KTG family and at the same time we celebrated the birthday of our friend Richie Zamora of The Pickiest Eater at the hotel where we consider home of the KTG. Join us as we share with you in this edition of EATSplorations, our New Year at F1 Hotel Manila with our KTG family, EATSperience. Enjoy!
Let’s start off with lunch at F All Day Dining!
What’s a celebration without food? For a food-loving community like the KTG, food will always be a priority. Hence we started our weekend at F1 Hotel’s F All Day Dining in-house restaurant. We are glad to have met F1’s new Executive Chef, Chef Angelo “Chubby” Timban. Chef Chubby, as how he likes to be called, has worked with reputable hotels like Resorts World Manila, Discovery Suites, Shangri-La Boracay, Traders Hotel and Manila Pavilion. So he is definitely in the zone to take on all of F1 Hotel’s food outlets and banquets!
F All Day Dining still has that Christmas vibe. As the centerpieces and the decoration were still all Christmas-y. Perfect for the festive season.
A variety of cuisines was what welcomed us in the buffet spread. And our favorites were the grilled station, our meat cooked to our liking with a very tasty Pinoy-style marinade. The Pork Pastrami was superb! We almost asked for some bread to make it into a sandwich. And of course, the carving station that had a juicy belly with crispy skin. As mentioned, we also celebrated the birthday of our dear friend, Richie of The Pickiest Eater!
One Bedroom Suite for the Weekend!
Now time to head to our room after a filling lunch. We were welcomed with a cheese platter which we really enjoyed. F1 hotel’s one bedroom suite is very spacious that our baby had fun walking around the room. This suite and our stay sure did give us a relaxing weekend.
Time to Celebrate the New Year!
F1 Hotel Manila has always been a part of the KTG family. Celebrations like Independence Day, Christmas and New Year were some events that were graciously hosted by F1. The night during KTG’s New Year celebration, we stayed at the Infinity Ballroom. The buffet spread was again prepared by Chef Chubby and his team. From soup, to appetizers, to mains down to desserts, it was a spread that definitely filled our hungry tummies. Our favorite among all the flavorful and tasty dishes, was the Stuffed Beef Belly. Tender beef belly packed with savory ground beef filling.
The KTG definitely had a feast that night. We were sponsored with one of the famous local brands of milk tea, Serenitea. They bubbled up the night with their best sellers, that everyone, even the kids really enjoyed. And a staple during the Christmas season is of course, ham! One of the iconic brands of ham here in the Philippines graced us with their tender and sweet ham. Thanks to Plaza Ham for satisfying our craving for ham even after the holidays. And to the cheese-lovers of the KTG family, La Petite Fromagerie was there to give everyone a delight. Different cheeses, Raclette being the star, crackers, nuts and dried fruits were in the cheese spread. Everyone lined up to enjoy the cheese buffet. For the thirst-quenchers, Swizzle mobile bar was there to give alcoholic drinks for the adults and non-alcoholic slushies for the kids and kid at heart. After all the drinking and eating, it was time for gift giving and some karaoke. Everyone had a night filled with food, fun and friendship!
Breakfast Time at F All Day Dining!
After a night of laughter and fun, we woke up to start our day with F All Day Dining’s breakfast. We loved that our breakfast favorites were in the spread, like bacon, egg, pork tapa, longganisa, pancakes and champorado. We made sure that we were fueled before swimming with the little one.
