In the past couple of years, Poblacion in Makati has become a booming food district with a huge variety of hole in the wall finds. A lot of the most talked about places to dine at in Makati is mostly around this busy commercial area. If you are looking for a new place to try, you will surely come across a restaurant in Poblacion. We have been wanting to try out a lot places there but only a few seem to be very child-friendly, that’s why we have to wait a bit for us to discover what Poblacion truly has to offer. In our recent Poblacion EATSperience, we visited a place that opened a couple of months ago that serves up Mexican treats and drinks, perfect for that after work gimik or tambay with colleagues and friends. In this edition of EATSplorations, we present to you Mexican EATS at Taqueria Seta. Enjoy!
One of Poblacion’s NEWEST, Taqueria Seta!
Situated exactly at P. Guanzon Street in Poblacion, Taqueria Seta can easily be spotted because of its ultra-colorful painted walls that are super “Coco” like. Once you see that cactus with a hat and guitar, you’ll know that you have already arrived. Make sure to come earlier than the usual meal time so that you can still have a parking slot. Just in case street side parking is full, don’t worry, you may park at somewhere in A-venue which is just a 2-minute walk.
Time to EATSperience what Taqueria Seta has to offer!

You can never go wrong with nachos to start a Mexican or Tex-Mex meal. This plate of crunchy tortilla chips, cheese, and meat was filled with so much flavor and HEAT! Yes, if you are not so much into spicy food, please ask them to be easy on the chili. But, if you are into anything spicy, Taqueria Seta’s nachos is truly THE BOMB!

Php 185 per stick
Wagyu Beef with a Mexican twist! The Wagyu cubes were perfectly seasoned. It was refreshing and spicy at the same time. A perfect drinking buddy if you want to enjoy your Coronas more.

Sisig Taco? Yes, yes, and Yes! Taqueria Seta did a great job with this one because the sisig was crunchy and spicy, and the homemade corn tortilla was moist and soft. The whole taco was just bursting with so much flavor and texture. Well done!Â

We ordered the classic carnitas (braised and shredded pork) and it didn’t disappoint. We were really happy with how tasty and how meaty it was. Yes, it was spicy but it is a flavorful kind of spicy. All in all, really really good and perfect for sharing, too!

We had this to end our first Taqueria Seta EATSperience and it was one of the best cheese sticks, if we may say, ever! Crunchy and creamy fried goodness with a kick. If you love Jalapeno and cheese, this is the one for you!
Taqueria Seta is one promising place for good food and good times. They have the tools to become one of the go to places when it comes to Mexican food here in the Metro. We enjoyed the vibe of the place, thanks to its colorful walls and pleasant staff. And of course, we enjoyed the food. Their no nonsense delicious Mexican food was such a delight to have. Really perfect after a long day or if you just want to wait for the Makati traffic to die out. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! ‘Till next time!
