It’s that time of the year when streets are lit with colorful Christmas lights, and the mornings and evenings are filled with the breezy air. It is also the time for gatherings, reunions and feasts. And what is a celebration without food, right? Buffets are always an option to have a feast, may it be in a stand alone restaurant or in a hotel. In one of our recent EATSperience, we had the opportunity to dine at the in-house cafe of Hotel Jen Manila. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing with you our Christmas Buffet at Latitude. Enjoy!
Christmas EATS at Latitude in Hotel Jen Manila!
Located at the lobby of Hotel Jen Manila, in Roxas Boulevard, hotel guests will already get to see the in-house cafe once they enter the hotel. With orange being its dominant color for the walls, accents, decors and seats, and interior that isn’t so intimidating, Latitude gives diners a casual-dining feel.
Feast on Latitude’s Holiday Spread!
Sashimi and Sushi Station
Now let’s find out what Latitude has to offer. As we made our way around the buffet spread, we can say that Latitude has all the food diners would usually look for in a buffet. Moving on the different stations, first stop, the sushi and sashimi station. They have a variety of sushi rolls and raw fish except for salmon. Which we always have whenever we dine at buffets.
Seafood Station
Next stop, the seafood station. A variety of fresh seafood served by the bucket which can be eaten cold, fried or baked. Since we both love prawns, we enjoyed it as it is, we had cold, fresh and juicy prawns.
Pasta Station
Now the pasta station. Have your pasta made the way you like it. They have different toppings and sauces that you can choose from. For us, we wanted a carbonara pasta with loooooots of bacon! And our request was granted!
Cheese Station
For those who love to have cheese first before digging into the hot dishes, Latitude has a cheese station. Different kinds of cheese with grapes and crackers to go with it.
Carving Station
Let’s move on to one of our favorite stations when we dine at a buffet. The carving station! They have Turkey in maple brine, Christmas ham and Lechon belly with liver sauce. We made sure that we got to try all these three tasty and flavorful meat.
Dessert Station
And of course, the dessert station to finish off a wonderful feast. They have different cakes in small squares, tarts, profiteroles, pastries, chocolate fountain and some Filipino kakanin such as puto and kutsinta. Now time to share with you our favorite EATS!
Our Latitude Favorites!
This mouthwatering prme rib was the star for us. Perfectly cooked to a medium rare, this tender and juicy prime rib kept us coming back for more. Perfect with the gravy and lots of creamy spinach side.
As for the hot dishes, this Holiday ribs had us. Fall-of-the-bone meat covered in a sweet and savory sauce.
And of course, what is Christmas without a Christmas Ham. Equal portions of fat and meat, Latitude’s Christmas Ham was indeed a treat!
Huge thanks to the men and women of Hotel Jen Manila and Latitude!
