McDonald’s Philippines just made Summer 2017 even hotter with the all NEW Spicy Buffalo-Style Chicken McDo! Yes, their signature Chicken McDo just got an upgrade of hot and zesty sauce for a spicy twist! In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing our EATSperience of McDo’s very own recipe of the classic American favorite, Buffalo-Style Fried Chicken. From the moment we opened our first box of the all NEW Spicy Buffalo-Style Chicken McDo, we got a good feel of how spicy it really is. It smelled really strong and spicy. More of like a combination of hot and sour flavors from its Buffalo-style sauce.
Our thoughts on the all NEW Spicy Buffalo-Style Chicken McDo…
It was pretty spicy and a little too strong for our own good. We almost had two servings of rice and drinks each just to be able to bear its hot and tangy taste. We also thought that it had a little too much sauce. Since we had ours delivered, the chicken’s batter was already soggy and soaked in the spicy sauce, just imagine how spicy it was. It might be good to have an option of some dips like a creamy blue cheese dip or a refreshing ranch dip to complement its strong spicy taste. But then again, we are not big fans of hot and spicy food, it’s still better if you try it yourself.
The Spicy Buffalo-Style Chicken McDo starts at Php 95 for one piece meal with rice and regular drink, Php 110 with rice, regular drink and fries, and Php 170 for two-piece chicken with rice and regular drink. The price points for this spicy treat looked just fine. If you want to go for a two-piece chicken meal, just go for two orders of the one-piece meal and save yourself a few pesos while enjoying it with two servings of rice and drinks. If you are not into spicy food, better try it out first with a one-piece meal and take it from there. This McDonald’s innovation might not be our cup of tea but it doesn’t mean that it’s not for everyone. That’s why we still recommend that you try it our yourself. Hi. McDonalds just bring back the old buffalo style flavoured chicken. I know that when I was kid I tried it before and I love it. And I keep waiting to bring them back this menu. Am I right?
