From Manila to Singapore, to Jakarta and back to Manila, Chinese food has always been one of our most sought after cuisines. Growing up and moving places, our love for Chinese food has never wavered. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing with you one of the most famous restaurant franchises from Singapore, Paradise Dynasty at S Maison in Conrad Manila. We might be late for the party but EATSperiencing Paradise Dynasty here in Manila was so worth the wait. Famous for the 8-flavored Xiao Long Bao, Paradise Dynasty also boasts of delectable cuisines from the Eastern and Central parts of China. Make sure you are full when you read this EATSperience of ours because the number and quality of dishes we tried will surely make you crave for Chinese food!
Welcome to Paradise Dynasty!
With the interior of the place we felt like we transported back to the time of imperial China. The place looked really elegant from every angle without being intimidating. The servers and managers were super hospitable. They entertained every question and request with a smile. The open kitchen made us even more excited to devour different kinds of Xiao Long Bao, dim sum, noodles, and other savory dishes that they have. Good thing we were pretty hungry when we visited Paradise Dynasty!
Let the EATING begin!

Of course, we started our Paradise Dynasty EATSperience with Xiao Long Bao. Yes, those dumplings with meat and soup inside. At Paradise Dynasty, they have 8 flavors of it. Yes, 8 different colorful Xiao Long Baos with different flavors. The 8 flavors are: Signature Original (white), Szechuan (red), Garlic (gray), Cheese (yellow), Foie Gras (brown), Ginseng (green), Crab Roe (orange), and Black Truffle (black). We were able to try all except the Ginseng and our favorites were Cheese – creamy, Szechuan – spicy peppery, Black Truffle – fragrant and rich, and the Signature Original – nothing beats the original.

Super soft and fluffy bun with a surprisingly tasty minced vegetable stuffing! Our baby loved this so much. This is perfect for infants like her.

One of the best dim sum creations we have ever had! Lovely flaky pastry with hashbrown-like radish inside. Super tasty and savory! We could have had 2, 3, or even 4 servings of this! 😀

This one was quite different from the plain old jellyfish alongside roasted pork and chicken. In this dish, the jellyfish was truly the star. Its sweetness and saltiness provided a great balance of flavors to the spicy and sour vinaigrette.

If you love crab meat but cannot have it, then this dish is the perfect alternative! The egg white, fish and conpoy trio made this dish taste and feel like crab meat. As one of their managers told us, this dish was made by one of the cooks for the emperor when there was a shortage in crab meat. It turned out to be a great experiment, the emperor loved it and the rest is history.

Of course, we got to have a vegetable dish! We could have this dish all day. Simple yet fragrant, delicious, and healthy, too!

This pork dish was great because of the tender shreds of pork that almost looked like noodles and the freshly-made soft crepes. This was one of the dishes that our baby tried too and of course, she enjoyed it.

Another one of those simple yet extremely delicious dishes! We could probably eat this on its own because it was extraordinarily awesome. If you have tried this, then you will understand why we’re so crazy about it. Don’t worry, this goes well with almost anything! A must-try.

We instantly fell in love with both sweet and sour dishes on our first bite. The crispy and tender pork and fish absorbed the sauce really well. Every bite had great balance of sweet and tangy flavors. It will surely be hard to choose between these two sweet and sour dishes when we return to Paradise Dynasty.

Fragrant and tender beef slices drenched in a sweet and peppery sauce. This dish reminded us of the famous noodle dish called Beef Ho Fan because it has similar aroma and flavor.Â

A comforting bowl of creamy soup, silky noodles and slices of beef that has a smokey flavor. We definitely would love to have this again.

After that sumptuous feast, these 2 desserts sealed the deal. Soft and chewy rice balls and crisp and light crispy pancake. Both were delicious and not too sweet, which we really liked.

It’s safe to say that we had a great time at Paradise Dynasty! The food was definitely something that we loved. Everything was just too good to ignore. Their famous Xiao Long Bao of different colors and flavors did not disappoint. The price points were great too. We were really surprised on how affordable and reasonable their dishes are. Service was impeccable too. When we return to Paradise Dynasty, we will surely have their 8-flavors of Xiao Long Bao, Sweet and Sour dishes, Egg Fried Rice, Radish Pastry, Steamed Egg White with Fish and Conpoy, and maybe try out their other dishes too. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Make sure to drop a comment on the comments section if you have any thoughts and recommendations for our next EATSperience. ‘Till next time!
