The Ingredients
First things first, the ingredients! There are only 10 ingredients for this SPAM® recipe and most, if not all it, are already in your pantries at home.
1 tablespoon of Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of Chopped Onions
1 tablespoon of Chopped Garlic
1 (210g) pack of Tomato Sauce
1 can of SPAM® or SPAM® Lite (half cubed and half grated, up to you)
1 teaspoon of Pepper (salt is optional)
2 tablespoons of All-Purpose Cream
1/2 kg of Cooked Spaghetti
1 tablespoon of Chopped Parsley
1 tablespoon of Parmesan Cheese
Time to cook!
In a hot pan, put Olive Oil and sauté cubed SPAM®. Don’t forget to smell its awesome aroma and watch it sizzle! For us, we sautéed until it was nice and crispy on the outside. After sautéing, set aside.
In the same pan, sauté Onions and Garlic for 2 minutes.
Add Tomato Sauce and simmer for 2-3 minutes. You may add the fried cubed SPAM® and season with pepper. In our case, we used cubed SPAM® as a garnish.
Add Cream and simmer for 2 minutes. If you want things creamier and lighter in color, add more cream.
Toss in Cooked Spaghetti and garnish with Chopped Parsley, Parmesan Cheese, and cubed SPAM®. We didn’t grate the SPAM® anymore because we love it a little crispy for that amazing bite!
