Tapas and More at Bar Pintxos – Salcedo, Makati!

Bar Pintxos Salcedo is located at the ground floor of the Paseo Parkview Tower along San Augustin Street in Salcedo Village, Makati. It is the third of three branches in the Metro. The other two are in BGC and in Alabang.

Just look for their wooden signage and you’re there. Make sure to keep your eyes wide open as it is quite difficult to see, hehe!

Playful murals of ingredients and various dishes that they have welcomed me into Bar Pintxos. It’s a great introduction as to what to expect when dining here.

Of course, they have a bar and they serve an assortment of Beers, Wines, Cocktails, and many many more. Bar Pintxos is not just about good food, they’re pretty serious with their drinks, too!

Berenjenas (Php 125)

Fried Eggplant with Honey and Paprika. These eggplant chips were pretty tasty! I believe I ate almost half a serving of it. So crunchy, sweet, and savory. A great start to a marathon of a meal at Bar Pintxos!

Chorizo Frito (Php 250)

Spicy, tender, and juicy chorizo fried in olive oil. This one goes well with toast and a glass of wine.

Pintxos Platter (Php 650)

The platter has Jamon Allioli, Gilda (anchovy with olives), Salmon, Butifarra, Chorizo y Huevos, and Brie-Cebolla. My favorites among the six kinds of pintxos are the Jamon Allioli and Salmon. Both were pretty hefty and tastes really familiar to me. The platter is priced pretty reasonably at 650 pesos especially if you’d like to try out their bestsellers.

Burrata (Php 220)

This one has a huge piece of burrata (fresh Italian milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream), sausage, honey, and caramelized onion. This one has awesome textures and layers of flavors in every bite. Of course, the star is the burrata that pops with a certain richness complemented perfectly by the savory sausage and the sweetness of the honey and caramelized onion. Definitely, a must try at Bar Pintxos!

Bistec (Php 800)

Flat Iron Steak with House Made Fries! One of the stars of this EATSperience, the perfectly cooked steak of Bar Pintxos. I love steak and I love it medium rare. This one’s just perfect! Well-seasoned and cooked properly. Their house-made fries was also pretty irresistible, too! All in all, a great value for money dish at 800 bucks!

Gambas al Ajillo (Php 440)

Lengua (Php 500)

THE BEST LENGUA in town! Yes, it is and I don’t think I will be changing my mind anytime soon. It may look very simple but don’t let its looks deceive you. Bar Pintxos’ Lengua is one hell of an ox tongue dish. Melt in your mouth. Super tasty. It just has perfection written all over it! Try it, you won’t regret it.

Paella Mixta (Php 350)

Finally, there’s Paella! This one had Chicken, Shrimp, and Chorizo in it. After all the tapas and pintxos, comes this all-time Spanish favorite and it did not disappoint! I enjoyed Bar Pintxos’ Paella so much. It was really hearty and really good for only 350 pesos per order. Good stuff!

I had an amazing time at Bar Pintxos! I honestly couldn’t believe that I have never tried it before. Everything that I had was just so delicious. This is one of the very few restaurants that I wouldn’t mind looking at the prices of the dishes, because I know that I will always leave with a happy tummy. I can’t wait to take my wife here on one of our date nights. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations, until next time!
