Since we became a family of three, we always consider our little one’s comfort when going places. Ever since the food park craze here in Manila began, we have only been to a food park twice. There was no problem about the food. Our main concern was how hot and crowded food parks can be. When dining at food parks come into mind, we always think that our baby may not be too comfortable, that’s why we rarely visit one. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing with you about our EATSperience at Taqueria in Madison Commons, Pasig. Taqueria made our latest food park EATSperience surprisingly different. Not just because of the food but also because the place was clean and it wasn’t that hot and crowded. Read along as we share more of our Taqueria EATSperience, enjoy!
This humble taco stall at Madison Commons is the brainchild of friends who love Mexican food. In their shared love for it and the desire to have good Mexican food in the country, Taqueria was born. Taqueria serves up Mexican-inspired dishes that are curated by the Six Pack Chef himself.
Taqueria looks really vibrant. From its hand-painted mural to its lovely Mexican tiles. We enjoyed every bit of decor and component the stall had. We also loved how the whole kitchen can be seen from the outside. It was nice seeing their chefs making almost everything by hand. All the love and effort that goes to each and every dish was simply amazing.

(beef sirloin, pork carnitas, and chicken)
Php 215
All three tacos were equally tasty. We loved how each protein was cooked differently. The beef sirloin was stir-fried, the pork carnitas was slow cooked and crisped, and the chicken was probably grilled. Their individual sauces were great too! However, if we had to pick a favorite, it was the zesty and sweet chicken taco that our tummies loved the most. If you cannot decide on which taco to get and would like to try it all, it’s a no brainer, get the taco trio and thank us later.

(chicken with cheddar, mozzarella and caramelized onions)
Php 220

One of the best quesadillas we have had in a long time! Their handmade tortilla was THE BOMB. We would have enjoyed the buttery and soft tortilla alone but it was made even better by the generous amount of cheese, tender chicken, and caramelized onions. It’s simply the best appetizer we can ever ask for from a Mexican food stall. Well done, Taqueria!

(torched chicken leg quarter with corn and black fried rice)
Php 220
This dish made us feel less guilty about indulging into something really good. Juicy and tender chicken leg quarter that was cooked to perfection. With a well-seasoned black fried rice. Every spoonful was a delight.

(slow cooked pork belly and seared to finish with corn and black fried rice)
Php 220
We enjoyed the black fried rice from their chicken rice bowl, we sure did too with their pork rice bowl. The slow cooked pork belly was a melt-in-your-mouth kind of EATSperience. 2 slices of thick-cut, super savory pork belly topped on a generous amount of black fried rice can easily fill someone’s tummy after a long day at work. This is a must-try!
Art cannot just be seen in their mural and colorful wall, but also, in the preparation and execution of their food. Which we find really impressive. Their love and passion for Mexican food reflected in the dishes that we have tried. This kind of food stall at a food park is worth a visit. Tuesday nights are something special because they have a Taco Tuesday promo. When you buy 1 order of their tacos, you get 1 more order for FREE.
