Megamall has always been one of the most famous shopping malls in Metro Manila and probably in the whole Philippines. It’s home to hundreds of retail stores and restaurants. That’s why thousands of shoppers and diners troop to Megamall every single day. It feels like it’s always Christmas in that mall because of the mad rush of people it deals with everyday. In this edition of EATSplorations, I will be sharing about one of the hundreds of restaurants that keeps Megamall-goers happy and full. This restaurant is all about FRIED CHICKEN WINGS! Yes, fried chicken wings! I will be sharing with you about my recent Wings Galore at Wing Zone in Megamall. If you love wings, fried food, or simply American-style dining, you gotta keep on reading!

Hello, Wing Zone! Wing Zone is located at the Atrium of SM Megamall so you really have to look for it to EATSperience their world famous wings, alright?

Once you arrive, you will be welcomed at the counter where you may order or you may opt to go straight to your table and have a server assist you in ordering. I suggest you to take a look at the menu really well, take your time because aside from the flavored wings, they also have other chicken dishes and flavors to choose from.

Speaking of flavors, if you can’t decide on which flavor to get, why not leave it to chance? According to this, Wing Zone at least has 16 flavors to choose from! Cool, right?

Here’s the name and description of each flavor! Also indicated here is each flavor’s spice level just in case you want it a little bit hotter or super duper mild. My favorites were the Honey Q, Smokin Q, and Cool Ranch flavors!

Before I got my hands saucy, here were some of the sides that I tried!

Onion Rings

I love love love this one! After fries, Onion Rings is probably my next favorite fried side. Wing Zone’s Onion Rings was pretty awesome! Crispy and light batter and loved the sweet onions. Love it with or without any dip!

Jalapeno Poppers

I think this one has the same exact batter which was light and crispy but has Jalapeno pepper chunks which gave a whole new EATSperience because of the tasty and spicy surprise inside. I am not really into spicy food, but I surprisingly enjoyed this one.

Mozzarella Sticks (Php 225 for Regular and Php 420 for Large)

My table probably ordered the Large serving of the Mozzarella Sticks which had around 10-12 sticks if I’m not mistaken. It was pretty good, really stringy and cheesy. The Marinara sauce that came along with it provided a lovely tangy and herby flavor to cut the richness of the cheese.

Flavor Rubbed Wedges (Php 125 for Regular and Php 220 for Large)

Huge fan of wedges, too! I enjoyed the wedges of Wing Zone because it’s not super heavy. It was crispy and just filling enough to get my tummy ready for the chicken wings. I think we just got this one plain with a dip.

Boneless Bites (Php 375 for 12 pieces / Liquid Gold and Honey Q)

Don’t sleep on these babies! Why? Well, if you are not into bite-off-the-meat from the wing kind of person, you will love how easy it is to eat these Boneless Bites! Super tender and surprisingly flavorful pieces of chicken breast. I love the flavors that we chose. Very familiar (Liquid Gold = Honey Mustard and Honey Q = Sweet Style BBQ) and extremely delicious!

Strips (Php 240 for 8 pieces with Lemon Zinger)

The Strips were really good. I enjoyed how tender and tasty it was on its own. However, I think we chose the wrong sauce because the Lemon Zinger was really sour that it overpowered the pepper and all the other herbs it had. I will definitely order this again but with a different sauce. Probably, with the Honey Q.

Wings (Php 260 for 8 wings / Smokin Q and  Nuclear Habanero)

At first, I was quite hesitant to try out a spicy flavor because my tummy reacts on spicy stuff. However, I was super glad that I tried out  the Smokin Q because it ended up being on my top 3 of this EATSperience. I love how hot yet flavorful it still was. It wasn’t just spicy, it had different layers of flavor and spicy was just one of them. It was an EATSperience in every bite. Really really good stuff, Wing Zone!

It took me a long time to write about my Wing Zone EATSperience so I’m not so sure if their Filipino Wings are still on the menu. If they still have it, here’s a few things you need to know about ’em!

Savory Adobo Wings

Of course, it can’t be Filipino without Adobo! That’s one of the two Wing Zone Filipino Wings. To be honest, it was quite strange at first but after devouring my first wing, I enjoyed it more and more. Adobo on Wings actually work! I almost ordered a cup of rice for this one. Must-try!

Spicy Sisig

Wing Zone made this one, too! The Spicy Sisig Wings. Unlike the Savory Adobo, this one was a miss for me because it didn’t really remind me of how Sisig really tastes like. It was a little lost for me. It didn’t taste bad, it was okay but not Sisig-like in flavor.

My first Wing Zone EATSperience was quite an eventful one! I really enjoyed their food and the overall EATSperience of choosing the flavors to satisfy whatever I am craving for. I love the sides that they have because I am a big fan of fried food! Everything was just superb and comforting. As for the chicken, I would go for the Boneless Bites and the Chicken Wings and probably try the other flavors that they have, too. I can’t wait to bring my wife and baby to Wing Zone soon! That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Happy 2019 to you all!
