Since we came back home last 2016, we have met a lot of food-loving people in our different EATSperiences here. And some that we have met along the way became our friends who we now we consider our food-loving family.  A few Saturdays back, we had our early Christmas celebration with our so-called food-loving family, the KTG (Kain Tulog Gang). And we had a Thai-inspired lunch as we dined at Mango Tree in Bonifacio High Street. We were excited as it was our first time to dine here even if we always pass by it whenever we are in the area. Aside from us dining there for the first time, we were also lucky to try out their new offerings for the Holiday season. Join us as we share with you our Holiday Season EATS at Mango TreeBGC. Enjoy!

Garden Salad in Som Tum Sauce with Chicken Wings
Php 380

Thai food has always been one of the most colorful dishes in Southeast Asian cuisine. And this Garden Salad in Tom Sum sauce with Chicken Wings is a truth to it. Refreshing flavors from the mixed vegetables, lime and palm sugar and a distinct flavor from the tom sum sauce, fish sauce and dried shrimp paste. This fresh and crisp salad gives a good balance to the flavor of the crispy fried chicken wings.

Fried Seabass with Tamarind Sauce
Php 1,150

A whole Seabass deep fried? Yes please! Topped with pineapple and cherry tomatoes, the natural flavor of the seabass was still present. This dish reminded us of a sweet and sour Chinese dish. Well balanced flavors from the tamarind sauce, pineapples and cherry tomatoes.

Homok Seafood Curry in Coconut
Php 950

When we had our first taste of this Homok Seafood Curry in Coconut dish, we were definite that we will keep raving about it. Thick and creamy curry sauce with just the right level of spiciness, because the sweetness from the seafood and coconut complemented it well. Believe us, we had several servings of rice because the curry sauce alone was a perfect reason to keep eating this dish.

Grilled Honey Spareribs
Php 550

The deep fried shrimp cakes served with sweet chili sauce was juicy and meaty on the inside. The tender chicken satay was perfect with the creamy peanut dipping sauce. And what stood out for us in these main stays was the Grilled Honey Spareribs. This dish gave us a rest from the spicy dishes, as the sweetness from the honey was really present in every bite of the fall-off-the-bone meat.
