Hello, everyone! April seemingly just flew by because of the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) here in Metro Manila. We already miss the outside world so much but still very thankful that we are able to stay home and just do what we can to stay safe and healthy. While staying home, of course, we’ve had a number of cravings because of constantly being online. And in this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing about satisfying one of our most recent cravings! In case you didn’t know it yet, WE LOVE FALAFELS! And, we are very happy and excited to inform all of you that one of the best falafels in town can now be EATSperienced anywhere in Metro Manila because Falafel Yo DELIVERS! Keep on reading to find out how.
Falafel Yo DELIVERS!
We don’t know when the whole Falafel Yo delivery website started but we’re very happy that they deliver! It’s super easy and hassle-free to order from their website. They handle everything from start to finish. Of course, we picked what we would want to eat and store for a few days (they have uncooked falafel mix, too!). After reviewing our order, we proceeded to the payment step wherein you may also check how much the delivery fee will be because, YES, they handle everything from taking your orders, payment, and DELIVERY (no need to book your own rider)! From start to finish. In case you’re wondering how much the delivery fee will be to your city, you may check it right here. We ordered the night before and we got a text for confirmation. The next day, we got a call from them asking what time we’d want to receive our order. Everything went so smoothly and now it’s time to show you what we had!
Sour Cream Pita Fries (Php 89 and comes with its own dip)
We love this thing! Pita on its own is already magical but man, when something gets fried it gets even better. Crispy on the outside and still a little chewy on the inside. It was buttery and it also just has the right amount of sour cream flavor. Very kid-friendly, too! Beanie loves this one so much!
Falafel Balls (Php 159, 10 pieces per order)
If you want more falafel to munch on, you better order this! Whenever we eat at one of their stalls, we always order extra falafel balls because it’s really really good. It just has the right combination of spices, the right crunch on the outside, and the right tenderness on the inside. It goes perfectly with their hummus and tahini, too! Make sure to order this one, you won’t regret it.
Hummus (Php 189) and Large Pita (Php 199 for 5 pieces)
Tastes as good as it looks! Falafel Yo’s Hummus is AWESOME. If you don’t wanna go through the hassle of making your own hummus at home, just order this one from Falafel Yo. Their hummus tastes so damn good and reasonably priced, this is the way to go. Plus, they also make some fluffy pita, too! It’s the perfect combination! You can store both items in your refrigerators so don’t hesitate to order more.
Falafel YO! (Php 179)
The last item that we had, the one that has it all, say hello to Falafel YO! The classic Falafel Yo pita sandwich that has 5 falafel balls, cabbage, onion sumac, eggplant, chopped salad, hummus, green chili, and fries for good measure. This one also has tahini and amba sauce on the side when it’s delivered. We always take large bites out of this to get all the components in and taste them all. It’s such a delight having all the different flavors and textures in every bite of the Falafel YO! Make sure to order this and don’t forget to thank us later!
We had an amazing time ordering from one of our favorites! It was one tasty and seamless EATSperience, thanks to their awesome website and system. Make sure to check out falafelyo.com the next time you crave for something meat-free and something good! That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations, until next time! Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
