It has been around 2 months since we celebrated a day dedicated for the head of the household—Fathers! As the saying goes, “a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” What better way to celebrate his special day is of course through having good food. 3 Fs as how we want to describe our celebration last June 16, 2019. Father’s in for some Fun and Food. Get it? 🙂 Want to know more? Join us as we share with you a one of a kind EATSperience of Super Dad Father’s Day at Solaire Resort!

Super Dad Father’s Day at Solaire Resort!

Solaire Resort did an awesome job conceptualizing and creating an interesting way of honoring the fathers. Located at Solaire’s The Tent, a superhero-themed celebration made guests feel like they were in the world of Marvel and DC superheroes!

This concept or theme definitely brought back great childhood memories!

Amazing props and entertaining arcade games made everyone, not just the fathers, enjoy the celebration.

The cosplayers were a hit for taking memorable photos for everyone!

And of course, a band made everyone groove to the beat!

What’s a celebration without beer? Free flow beer from a local brewery, Engkanto, gave the fathers a celebration worth remembering.

Now time for the food! Solaire Resort prepared a feast! An international spread of well-known dishes from appetizers down to desserts.

Some of the dishes in the spread were these Asian BBQ Skewers. Our favorite was the chicken teriyaki skewers. The marinade had good balance of sweet and salty, and the chicken was tender.

A superstar during the event! This lobster dish was a crowd favorite. Cheesy and juicy lobsters that tasted really fresh. Well done, Solaire! However, since this was a crowd favorite, some guests took advantage of consuming a lot, leaving other guests unable to get. So just a friendly tip for an event like this: 2 pieces for each person should be enough. So that other guests will be able to try it out as well. 🙂

And for most Filipinos, a celebration is not a celebration if there is no lechon. Crispy and crunchy skin, juicy and flavorful meat. Perfect with the lechon sauce!

Another dish in the carving station is the roast beef. Perfectly cooked beef with a variety of sides to complement each slice.

And for a more personal touch, a make-your-own taco was part of the spread. We were the “everything on it” type of guests, so we made sure to try every ingredient in this station.

Aren’t these cupcakes cute? A dessert that made us all feel like a superhero, too!

For our family, it is not just the fathers that enjoyed the celebration. Even the youngest member of the family had a blast. She had so much fun going around greeting the different superheroes and having her photo taken with them!

Look at those smiles! Both dads in our family and the whole family had a great time during our Father’s Day celebration!

And to Sabine’s superhero, thank you for being the father that you are! It was indeed a fun and food-filled celebration for Fathers at The Tent in Solaire Resort! That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Until next time!
