Since its inception, King Chef has become a household name for reasonably priced and tasty Cantonese dishes. Aside from their crowd favorites, King Chef has always been ready to give their diners something new whether it be through affordable promos or new dishes. We were able to try King Chef’s Mother’s Day Set A which includes—Cold Cuts Platter, King’s Special Crab Roe Soup, Braised Beef Brisket with Tendon in Pot, Seafood with Broccoli, Steamed Pompano in Dried Salted Beans, Yang Chow Fried Rice, and Dessert of the Day. Seven dishes that are good for 6 persons and is perfect for the whole family.

This lauriat staple never fails to impress! Our favorites in this cold cuts platter are the Asado, Jellyfish, Century Egg and Soy Chicken. Make sure to ask for extra hoisin sauce to complete the EATSperience.

A bowl of comforting soup to start a celebration. Creamy in texture and it had lots of flavor from the crab roe. Every spoonful was a delight.

We loved the tender and stringy brisket together with its gelatinous tendon. The brisket absorbed the sweet sauce really well. Perfect with a cup of yang chow fried rice.

This was one fresh and healthy dish, perfect for the whole family! The sweetness of the seafood worked really well with the slightly bitter broccoli.

We loved how the dried salted beans gave texture to the smooth and silky pompano. The flavor of the salted beans seeped through the flesh of the fish. Good balance of flavors from the naturally sweet fish and the slightly salty dried beans.

Their aromatic yang chow fried rice was very inviting. Perfect for any hot dish that was served in this set. Because most of the hot dishes required lots and lots of this very flavorful fried rice.

Crunchy and crispy suahe evenly coated with heaps of heavenly salted egg sauce. We even ate the shell because of the texture and flavor it had. It was that good!

After feasting on the different savory dishes, a bowl of this dessert is a perfect way to end a great meal. Light, refreshing lemongrass mix and crunch from the small pieces of fruits.
