Food Trip at Vanderlust Bistro and Patisserie – Quezon City

Every EATSperience of ours has its own story. It may come from the restaurant itself, from the owners, from the food, and many more. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing with you about our food trip at Vanderlust Bistro and Patisserie in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Vanderlust’s story revolves around how we, as diners, can travel with our taste buds together with the food that we are eating. The owners of Vanderlust came up with this concept because of their insatiable appetite for adventure, culture, and of course, food. And they did not want to keep all these to themselves only but they also have the desire to share it with other people. Thus, the birth of Vanderlust Bistro and Patiserrie. Anyways, we went to SM North EDSA to try out Fat Fook Taiwanese Kitchen. Fat Fook, as it is more commonly known, is a restaurant that features Taiwanese street food and traditional dishes. The place is known for their Chicken Chop, Fried Intestines, Spicy Pork Ears and many more. Sounds exciting so far? Get ready to EATSperience Taiwan through Fat Fook’s delectable Taiwanese dishes, enjoy! Continue reading…

Bao On The Block – Quezon City

Hello everyone! It has been a long time since the last time we shared an EATSperience in Quezon City. We have been guilty of just going around areas near our place like Makati and Bonifacio Global City. But since our baby’s pediatrician is based in Quezon City and we have to visit her for the monthly checkup, it gives us time to EATSperience restaurants that we rarely go to, and just simply appreciate what that side of Metro Manila has to offer. In this edition of EATSplorations, we will share with you about our latest Quezon City food find, Bao On The Block. It is located in Sgt. Esguerra just across ABS-CBN. This place serves up baos and rice bowls perfect for lunch and after work chow downs. We decided to visit Bao On The Block on a weekday lunch (during our school break) and it was pretty easy to go to. The place is small but it was decorated nicely, for diners who are simply looking for a place to dine at after a long day’s work. Continue reading…

Brown Butter Pancake Sandwiches

Finally, October is over and now it’s time to usher in November! We were loaded with work last month and as a result, we have had some backlog on the blogging side of things. Not complaining though because thank God, we have been busy since coming back home. Last month, we received a box of goodies from Brown Butter Pancake Sandwiches. If you haven’t heard about them yet, Brown Butter makes pancake sandwiches inspired by the “Dorayaki” from Japan. The concept is a fusion of East and West as they combined the Japanese pancakes with more Western fillings or palaman in Filipino. The pancake sandwiches of Brown Butter are also very handy and easy to eat. Keep reading to find out more about Brown Butter’s different pancake sandwiches in this edition of EATSplorations!
