A quick weekend getaway is always a good thing to do every once in a while. It helps veer away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. 2 weekends ago, we had the chance to spend family time and time with friends, outside Manila. It wasn’t that far though, but far enough to let us rest and relax. In this edition of EATStaycation, we will be sharing how we EATSplored our way in Lima Park Hotel in Lima Technology Center, Malvar, Batangas! Keep on reading to find out how you too, can enjoy a weekend getaway that isn’t too far. Enjoy!
Lima Park Hotel in Lima Technology Center, Batangas!!!
Now allow us tell you how we got to Lima Park Hotel and how long was our travel time. So, our planned pick-up point was at McDonald’s Greenbelt 1 in Makati City. When we were complete, we left Makati a little over 9:00 a.m. Ready for a long ride to Batangas, we made sure we sat comfortably with our bodies ready to take that much needed nap. But to our surprise, it only took us roughly an hour and half to reach the hotel! (Well, we did take a nap, literally power nap! Haha!) Malvar, Batangas isn’t so far as how we expected it to be. Good thing there was no traffic that morning as well. Lima Park Hotel sits in Lima Technology Center. The area is being developed and it houses outlet shops and restaurants too.
While settling check-in protocols, we went around the lobby and saw their in-house coffee shop named Brew Company. They have of course, the famous Kapeng Barako and a selection of cakes and pastries.
After our card keys were handed to us, a staff accommodated us to our room. While we were walking to our room, we really liked how quiet and breezy the hallways were. We also liked the Al fresco feels with plants and grass in sight. Our room was a De Luxe room that has 2 queen-sized beds, a bathroom with a tub, safe vault, mini refrigerator, a TV, and a desk.Â
We loved that the room was spacious enough and it was complete with all the essentials.
After resting for a bit, we went around the hotel to check-out what else is there. While exploring our way, we chanced upon an exit that leads outdoors. And we were surprised at how big the pool area is.
They also have a play area perfect for families with kids, like us!
We loved that the pool area was clean, the play area is family-friendly and that the hotel is equipped with the basic needs that can cater to both families and group of friends that are in a holiday.
Lima Park Hotel is not only a beautiful hotel. They are also an establishment that wants to showcase the beauty of Batangas’ hidden gems. That’s why they have a Land Tour and Lake Cruise tour package offered to their guests.
As of now the moment, there are two available stops for this tour of theirs. The Marian Orchard and the Manakah or Mataas na Kahoy just along the Taal Lake. For the prices per person or per group make sure to contact the hotel for more details.
1st stop: Marian Orchard! The place is a huge piece of land that features both nature and lovely man-made structures for people who would want to take some time to unwind and meditate.
Here, guests can simply enjoy a breath of fresh air that most of us Manileños don’t really have in the city. The Marian Orchard is a great place to just pray and appreciate the beautiful gift of nature that God has given us.
2nd and final stop: Manakah or Mataas na Kahoy at the Taal Lake! We had to take their 20-something seater boat called “The Queenfisher” to get to Manakah and have a scenic view of the Taal Volcano and the Taal Lake. It’s perfect to have a lake cruise during sunset. Very beautiful and romantic!
A Tree House for a better and overlooking view of the scenery!
Manakah is being developed by Lima Park Hotel management to be a great lake cruise destination and soon they will be offering lakeside boodle fights, too! Imagine eating here with your friends and family while watching the sunset! Right now, the place serves as a viewing deck and it has some cottages where guests can have snacks while taking a break after a long day.
After a busy first day, we looked forward to having a good breakfast the following day.
Happy to say, it didn’t disappoint. Plum restaurant, is the all-day dining restaurant of Lima Park Hotel. And they had quite a good breakfast buffet spread with a number of dishes. Of course, Filipino favorites like longanisa, lumpiang shanghai and arroz caldo, are part of the spread. Breakfast staples like corned beef, garlic rice, eggs, cereals and fruits are part too. And they serve your choice of hot beverage like hot chocolate, coffee or tea.
We loved that the spread had our favorites in it. Yup, including Baby EATS’ favorite lumpiang shanghai, corned beef and garlic rice. Aside from that, we enjoyed their tasty dishes and that they have a bread station as well.
Our first time at Lima Park Hotel made us consider of coming back if we want to have another quick weekend getaway. Unfortunately though, we were not able to swim the morning of Sunday because it rained. That maybe can be a reason for us to visit the hotel again because Baby EATS was looking forward to it. Hehe. But all-in-all, we enjoyed our stay and we loved how the hospitality shown to us by the staff. Summer is fast approaching, and if you are already researching where to spend your summer vacation, check out Lima Park Hotel at Lima Technology Center in Malvar, Batangas. Not too far from the city, and it is quite affordable too. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations, ’till next time!
