The Sphere Serviced Residences is located in The Stratosphere building, a commercial-residential property in Salcedo Village, Makati City.

The Sphere Serviced Residences is managed by the Hospitality Innovators, Inc. group of companies. It has 180 rooms in The Stratosphere building, with shared common areas like the gym and the swimming pool.

Despite it being in a residential building, The Sphere Serviced Residences has a lobby area to welcome their guests and do check-in and check-out protocols. What we liked when we entered was that there was Starbucks and Little Flour Cafe. Which means, if we get hungry (which we always are!), there’s a place to grab some grub!

Just like any other hotels, The Sphere has functions rooms suited for meetings, workshops and parties. So if you have an event or an occasion to celebrate, booking a room and a function room here can be a good idea.

Like what we’ve mentioned, they have an indoor swimming pool and they have plans of putting up a cafe on the same floor as well.

Since it is in a residential building, the room gives more of a condominium feel. Complete with kitchen and dining, long staying guests will surely have a comfortable stay. Especially if cooking is part of the plan.

Or even for those who are staying overnight and loves to cook, it can be done here at The Sphere!

“Hidration” bottle! Very environment-friendly! We love, love, love this idea of using glass bottles for the complimentary water instead of the usual plastic bottles. If the your bottle is about to be empty, you can just call the housekeeping and have your bottle changed with a new one. Zero plastic bottles. Pretty cool, right?

A very thoughtful welcome treat from The Sphere! Nothing beats a plate of fruits for healthy snackin’.

Not just thoughtful treats for our tummies, but another thoughtful welcome packet. A map showing the neighborhood and food finds around the area. Very helpful for foreigners and locals alike.

The room is really spacious and we liked that the furniture are just right for the room size. We also loved the floor-to-ceiling glass windows that lets the natural light come through.

After checking-in and resting the whole afternoon, it was time for hungry tummies to take in some good food! Since convenience is one of The Sphere’s goals for their guests, we had dinner at a nearby restaurant. Meaning, we just walked from our hotel to Apartment 1B.

It was our first time to dine here at Apartment 1B and we have been hearing good feedback from friends and family. It was interesting to find out that the name Apartment 1B came from the unit name itself at the One Lafayette building. We had a 3-course meal for dinner and it was so thoughtful that they had prepared a kiddie meal menu for Baby Eats. We asked her to choose what she likes and she chose Mac and Cheese. A plate of gooey, cheesy and creamy mac and cheese with garlic bread.

Now for the parents, herb crusted salmon with potatoes and veggies. The cook on the salmon was perfect! We loved that it was lightly seasoned and that the natural flavor of the salmon was very evident. The texture, superb! Flaky yet juicy and tender.

And the grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes and veggies. The flavor of the pork chop was on point and the it was really juicy. Our meal came along with soup, salad and dessert. So can you just imagine how stuffed we were. Good thing walking was the main option to head back to our hotel.

Full from our dinner, we had another sweet surprise in the room! Cookies and milk for Baby Eats and a bottle of wine for the parents!

We were really impressed with how well-managed The Sphere is. Simple notes like this is always a welcome sight for first-time guests and it’s the little things that make a huge difference.

The Sphere Serviced Residences has partnered with Little Flour Cafe to cater to their guests’ breakfast needs.

They have a specific breakfast menu for The Sphere’s guests. They have Filipino and Continental choices as well as breads and pastries. And eventually Little Flour will be servicing the in-room dining for The Sphere’s staying guests. Isn’t that exciting?!?

Pork adobo rice! It definitely made our morning! Sweet and salty pork adobo on a bed of adobo rice, it can’t get any adobo-er than that! Haha! We loved every spoonful of the flavorful adobo rice mixed with the runny yolk from the sunny side up egg.

Another rice bowl and a famous one from Little Flour Cafe. The sisig rice bowl! Chunks of salty, spicy and crispy sisig. Not a single grain of rice was left on the bowl. It was that good!

After a heavy breakfast, we rested for a while. Remember us mentioning that convenience is a priority? Well, for families with kids, a stay in The Sphere can be paired with a time at the park. Salcedo Park is indeed walking distance from the hotel so we took advantage of the opportunity of bringing Baby Eats at the park.

Since we live in a condominium, we take every chance that we can get to let our little one enjoy the outdoors. And she definitely had a great Sunday morning at the park!

eatstaycation-at-the-sphere-serviced-residences

On our way back from the park to The Sphere, we passed by the back entrance and chanced upon this small stall that sells egg waffles. Since we miss this snack from HK, we tried out Datong’s egg waffles. And we loved it! We loved the crispy texture of the waffle and how light it was.
