The year 2018 has been a year of UNLIMITED BBQ! If the names Samgyupsalamat, Romantic Baboy, and Fantastic Baka sound familiar to you, you must have been bitten by the Unlimited BBQ bug. Thousands or maybe millions of hungry Filipinos have probably lined up for at least an hour or two just to get to try those restaurants with unlimited meat offerings. I, myself, have been on a hunt for the newest, most worth it, and the least lined up barbecue restaurant and this quest has brought me to this edition’s chosen restaurant. In this edition of EATSplorations, I will be sharing a Quezon City EATS that feature unlimited meats at a fairly reasonable price. Make sure you’re hungry because here comes my Meat All You Can EATSperience at Yoshimeatsu in Tomas Morato, Quezon City!
Quezon City EATS – Meat All You Can at Yoshimeatsu!
Located along one of the busiest food districts in Metro Manila, Yoshimeatsu sits right at the corner of Scout Fernandez and Tomas Morato in Quezon City. It’s so easy to spot. It’s the restaurant with the red circle signage and a Japanese themed font that says Yoshimeatsu. Believe me, you won’t miss it!
Make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes to an hour before they open to avoid waiting a long time. Yoshimeatsu has been catching a lot of attention from the Unlimited BBQ crowd recently so it’s wise to be there early to make sure that you’ll get a table.
My view when I entered Yoshimeatsu! Around 5-6 tables on the first level and 7-8 more upstairs, if I’m not mistaken. The place is quite small compared to other barbecue places that we’ve tried. However, Yoshimeatsu’s interior and vibe looked and felt more inviting.
Second level dining area which has more tables for meat lovers like me! It’s also where the restroom is located.
Before I share all the food with you, here’s what a usual table setup looks like at Yoshimeatsu. Of course, the grill with three compartments (1 for the egg, 1 for the cheese, and 1 for the kimchi). Each table also has its own exhaust, a glass with all the utensils, condiments, tissue, and a tablet for Yoshimeatsu’s hi-tech ordering system!
The promo price for the UNLIMITED YAKINIKU at Yoshimeatsu is Php 549! It already includes Side Dishes, Sushi Rolls, Ebi Tempura, and 11 Choices for Grilling! Again, it’s all UNLIMITED!
Sushi Rolls for starters! All of Yoshimeatsu’s Sushi Rolls were pretty tasty and filling. However, make sure to pace yourself as this is not yet the main event. It won’t hurt to try a few of these tasty bite-sized treats.
Yoshimeatsu’s Ebi Tempura is something you should try! Its batter has a great balance of crispy and chewy, the shrimps were plump and juicy but not greasy. My friends and I had at least 3 plates of these! It was really restaurant quality tempura!
Sliced Beef for the first plate of meat! Why this one? Well, it’s the easiest and quickest to grill. My friends and I can’t wait to have some grilled meat so we got the one that cooks the fastest. The faster it cooks the more we can enjoy. Got it?
Sliced Beef with Curry Sauce! This one’s the same cut of beef but with a light Japanese Curry Sauce that made it a little spicy but really flavorful and more enjoyable. Again, whenever you eat at Meat-All-You-Can restaurants, make sure to consider the meat’s cooking time so that you have more time to enjoy and less time cooking. Always go for thinly sliced meats!
Spicy Beef Yakiniku! If you love your meat spicy, then this is the one! I mean, just look at how red the sauce is on this one. I definitely felt the kick of the spicy sauce but I still enjoyed it because the beef was fatty and tasty. I enjoyed it more when the fat got a little toasted and had a little bit of crunch. Yum, yum, yum!
Burnt just the right way! Same as this photo of the Sliced Beef!
Now, on to the thicker cuts of meat! This one’s the Herbed Pork. As you can see, it has like a dry rub on top as seasoning. It’s a thicker cut of meat and it requires more cooking time. At this point, we were already starting to feel full that’s why we are becoming more patient to grill meat that takes longer to cook. I enjoyed the Herbed Pork’s herbs and spices. It’s something new yet uniquely enjoyable. Well done, Yoshimeatsu!
Chicken Yakitori or simply yakitori, hehe! This one was surprisingly good. I rarely order chicken when it comes to Meat-All-You-Cans because I’m afraid I might not cook it through and it might need a little more time to cook. However, I’m glad I ordered this one at Yoshimeatsu because whatever the sauce is, it really worked so well with the chicken fillets and made each bite really delicious.
Yangnyeom Galbi (Shortribs)! Just before raising the white flag, my friends and I decided to order this one and I’m so glad we ordered it! This one’s probably the best meat on the menu. I loved its natural flavor and its marinade. When cooked properly, it’s super tender with the right amount of fat in every bite. You must order this one when you visit Yoshimeatsu!
Just to wrap things up, I really love any Unlimited BBQ restaurant but Yoshimeatsu stood out for me because of the quality of meat and the inclusions for just Php 549! The Unlimited BBQ also includes a serving of soft-serve ice cream to complete the meal. Sulit na sulit, di ba?I really hope that they open more branches so that a lot more BBQ lovers will get to EATSperience the quality of food that they offer. Make sure to be early when you visit Yoshimeatsu because the place is quite small compared to some other Unlimited BBQ places. Also, parking is limited, be there early so you can EATSperience what Yoshimeatsu has to offer. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Can’t wait to come back with my EATSplorations family! ‘Til next time!
