Chili’s – Greenbelt 5, Makati

Chili's Greenbelt 5 Makati City

Eating out has always been one of our common interests since we became a couple. We go out to eat every weekend and sometimes even on weeknights. Last Saturday was not different but more special. Aside from eating out, we also celebrated Mrs. Eats’ birthday and Baby Eats’ 6th month. At first, we couldn’t figure out where to dine because we wanted to try something and also have something that we have been craving for a long time. Can you guess what we chose? Well, we had the latter. We chose Chili’s! Why? Chili’s is a restaurant where we usually eat loads of comfort food and just simply have a great time. We were also craving for something that we have been wanting to have for a long long time. What is that thing? Later, you will find out why. Are you ready to EATSperience Chili’s with us? Here it goes, enjoy!

Sorry guys, no photos of the place! 😉 We’re pretty sure most, if not, all of you have an idea what Chili’s looks like. Let’s go straight to the FOOD! 😀

What we had that very special Saturday 😀

We had Texas Cheese Poppers and Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad for starters. Big Mouth Bites for mains and … (clue: it’s the thing that we have been craving for). It may look little for some but for us two it was more than enough. Keep reading to get a closer look at the dishes that we had.

Cheese Porn! 😀

Mr. Eats: This is as cheesy as it gets! I enjoyed every bite out of these poppers because of its crispy shell and its super CHEESY core. Just look at the picture above if you don’t believe me. What made these poppers more appetizing was its chipotle ranch dipping sauce. It gave a nice refreshing kick to the already delicious cheese poppers. A lovely starter to a great meal!

Mrs. Eats: This has been my all-time favorite appetizer in Chili’s. Aside from me being a cheese-lover, I also love the crispy coating of these poppers. And yes, that chipotle ranch dipping sauce just made it better.

We have forgotten to take a photo of the salad because we attacked it right away. The Boneless Buffalo Chicken Salad is perfect for people who are not that fond of greens but are still willing to try. The Buffalo chicken strips will make anyone forget that it’s a salad because it tastes really GOOD.

Big Mouth Bites

Mr. Eats: This is my ALL-TIME Favorite in Chili’s! Also, one of the best burgers that I have ever had. One serving of the Big Mouth Bites has four deceivingly small burgers in size but big in flavor. The burgers have remained the same over the years. However, the recent change in the composition has put me off a bit. I missed the fried onions and its dipping sauce. My EATSperience was somewhat lacking because I loved it ever since I first had it. Chili’s, please bring it back. 😀

Mrs. Eats: This should always be on our food menu whenever we would dine here. Because it is indeed Mr.Eats’ favorite. The burger patties were juicy and flavorful and the cheese slices made every bite mouthwatering. I love it more when it used to have fried onion strings as its side dish.

Now, the mystery dish that we have been craving for a long time! It’s Chili’s…

Look at the lava flooooow… 😀

Mr. Eats: Before I forget, a Happy Happy Birthday to my lovely wife! This Molten Chocolate Cake has been a long time coming but it’s worth the wait. Every bite was pure bliss. The fluffy chocolate cake, the smooth molten core, and don’t forget the gigantic scoop of vanilla ice cream. Every single thing just worked perfectly in making this EATSperience really memorable. Don’t you ever think twice when you visit Chili’s! Life is simple. Save room for this dessert.

Mrs. Eats: I was born with a sweet-tooth and ending our meal with this delicious dessert made my birthday even sweeter. The chocolate cake was moist and the sweetness was just right for me. The chocolate coating and the chocolate lava with the vanilla ice cream was indeed luscious! Thanks to my sweet husband for letting me satisfy my craving!

Happy 6th month, Beanie! 😀 Someday you will get to taste that tempting treat, promise!

We had a wonderful time at Chili’s! Celebrating together as a family while enjoying tasty bites just made Mrs. Eats’ birthday more special. Thanks to the staff of Chili’s for their warm hospitality and great service. We will surely be back for more and hopefully try out the other items on the menu. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Till next time!
