There are days when we splurge on filling our tummies with good food, and there are days when we stick to our budget yet we still get to eat what we are craving for. How? Eatigo has helped us spend within our budget without compromising our hunt for good food here in Metro Manila. Last Thursday, we were in the mood for some Japanese food for lunch and we wanted to try something new. As you all know, Japanese food can sometimes be a bit pricey but thanks to the Eatigo app, we were able to book a table with 30% discount on all food items at Yumi a Japanese restaurant in Century City Mall. Yumi Japanese Restaurant at Century City Mall!

Located at the fourth floor of Century City Mall, Yumi sits across Hole-in-the-Wall. It is a cozy restaurant perfect for casual dining. The space was also maximized to give room for more diners as there is a loft that makes the ceiling lower than usual. Couples or friends may enjoy sitting by the bar while families may sit in the main dining area or in the loft.

Now time for the food! Bearing in mind that we used Eatigo, and that we will be able to get a discount, we were excited to check out the menu and get whatever entices us. Of course we had to have our favorites—Chirashi, tempura, some skewers and fried rice for Baby Eats. Was the food as good as how it looks? Keep reading to find out!

First on our table, the Skewered Pork Belly, Sunagimo and Aspa Enoki Bacon. The pork belly was a little bit too dry. A little sauce on top of it could have made it better. The gizzard was super tender. It was unlike any other gizzard we’ve had before. However, our favorite among the three skewers was the Aspa Enoki Bacon because of the BACON. It had the sweetness and crunch of the aparagus and enoki mushroom. The sauce itself was sweet and savory and the juicy bite from the bacon made it even better!

The Tempura Moriawase Silver had kisu, asparagus with pork belly, shitake mushroom, Japanese sweet corn and tempura sauce on the side. Tempura will always be a Japanese favorite of ours, however, the tempura batter could have been better as it was a bit overcooked. Good thing, Baby Eats still enjoyed the Japanese sweet corn.

Japanese fried rice topped with a generous amount of tender Angus Prime cubes. This bowl of chahan is Eats family approved! Super savory fried rice packed with lots of flavor.

The Chirashi Moriawase includes salmon, tuna, mackerel, eel, shrimp, octopus, tamago, uni and vinegared rice. We loved how colorful this bowl was and how every component tasted fresh. The uni was exceptionally fresh and sweet. Truly a must-try!

Our bill with the Eatigo discount!

After enjoying our lunch we asked to settle the bill. Our bill was Php 1,855.28 and after applying the 30% discount from Eatigo, we paid Php 1,379.50. With the given discount we saved almost Php 500, not bad huh? We got to eat good quality Japanese food and managed to save a few hundred bucks. Thanks to Eatigo for giving diners like us who are spending within a budget a chance to save and still be able to enjoy amazing food.

We indeed enjoyed our family time over Japanese food at Yumi and we liked how accommodating the staff were. Yumi looks really promising when it comes to tasty Japanese EATS as it has the whole repertoire. Ramen, teppan, sushi, sashimi, name it, they got it.
