Hello everyone! We are back for the second installment of The Great Eatscape in SM Aura Premier. After a Chinese-Thai steamboat EATSperience in the first stop of The Great Eatscape, this edition of EATSplorations is about an Italian restaurant called Mona Lisa Ristorante. It is also located at the 5th floor of SM Aura Premier or also known as the Sky Park. The restaurant presents an intense love for paintings and Italian inspired interior. The menu is filled with Italian favorites too. Pasta, pizza and many more paired with lovely paintings to satisfy ones appetite and love for the arts. Sounds interesting so far? Well, here goes our Mona Lisa Ristorante EATSperience, enjoy!
Mona Lisa Ristorante has both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Both areas offer a vast array of paintings for your eyes to feast on. However, we enjoyed the outdoor dining area more because of the greenery that the Sky Park provides. Imagine dining there during dinner while enjoying a lovely breeze and looking at the BGC skyline. Well, enough about the place for now and let’s move on to what we really came here for, Mona Lisa Ristorante’s FOOD!
Mr. Eats: Loved this super fresh salad by Mona Lisa Ristorante. The natural sweetness of the fresh veggies was complemented perfectly by the light homemade dressing. I was impressed by the generous amount of shaved Parmigiano Cheese that gave the salad a little bit of saltiness it needed. Great start to a lovely lunch!
Mrs. Eats: It was a refreshing sight to see a bowl of salad on our table. I enjoyed the crunch from the greens and the refreshing flavor the capsicums gave. The homemade dressing and the Parmigiano Cheese had a good balance of sweet and salty flavors.
Mr. Eats: I LOVE PASTA! Anything with perfectly cooked pasta is perfectly fine with me. The two pasta dishes that Mona Lisa Ristorante served were both extremely tasty in their own right. The Spaghetti Vongole was simple yet filled with the natural sweetness from the fresh clams and was made even better with a touch of lemon. However, I loved the Pollo Pizzimente Pasta more because it was more filling and its creamy mushroom sauce was AMAZING. The chicken could have been cooked better but everything else was perfect for me.
Mrs. Eats: Both pasta dishes had its own strength. I enjoyed the Spaghetti Vongole because it was simple yet really flavorful. The clams gave that sweet and fresh flavor and the lemon zest made this pasta dish refreshing. As for the Pollo Pizzimente, it was thick and creamy. The chicken, asparagus and broccoli plus the mushroom sauce was meant to fill-up hungry tummies.
Mr. Eats: I was a bit disappointed that we were given the Miguelito Speciale and Barbecue Panizze Pollo instead of the combination of toppings in the photos that we took. Anyways, I was happy with the ones that they served because it was still crispy and it had lots of artichoke and chicken barbecue. I loved the blend of salty, sweet and tangy flavors in every bite.
Mrs. Eats: It’s always a fun EATSperience eating a Panizza (Panizze). Having all the components rolled and having everything in one bite made me enjoy the flavor and texture of this dish. Both were generously topped with the ingredients. I enjoyed the sweetness from the chicken barbecue.
Our Mona Lisa Ristorante EATSperience was great! We both love pizza and pasta that is why we were satisfied that they make good stuff. If you happen to be in SM Aura, make sure you give Mona Lisa Ristorante a chance to feed you and your family or your friends. You will be pleasantly surprised! The Great Eatscape looks like a really promising food crawl so far, right? Get ready because we still have THREE more stops to go! That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Till next time!
