Merry Moo Ice Cream

Merry Moo Ice Cream

This post marks the beginning of a new set of articles that we will be having here at EATSplorations, the “trEATS” column! In this column, we will be sharing some treats like homemade and Philippine made sweet and savory snacks, dessert, drinks and the like. That we bought from the grocery store or were given to us. The trEATS column aims to give exposure to local brands and concepts that deserve more exposure. Got it? In this edition of EATSplorations, we will be sharing about our Merry Moo Ice Cream EATSperience. They sent us over some of their bestsellers and we would like to share what we think about them. Ready for the first trEATS EATSperience? Here it goes, enjoy!

Merry Moo Ice Cream

Merry Moo Ice Cream sent over 4 different flavors of ice cream. Two are their bestsellers and two are new flavors. First of all, who would say no to trying out ice cream, right? Well, when they asked us if we wanted to try, we said yes right away. Keep reading to find out about the flavors that we tried and if we liked them or not.

Say hello to Merry Moo’s Bestsellers!

Avocado

Mr. Eats: The avocado ice cream tasted exactly like the actual avocado. Super rich and creamy. However, I am not a big fan of avocado so this one is not for me. On the other hand, the sea salt caramel was clearly a winner in my book! Bold caramel flavor with just a touch of saltiness to balance things out. In the battle of bestsellers, I pick the sea salt caramel as the clear winner.

Mrs. Eats: I love ice cream! The kid in me got really excited when I learned that we will be having a sweet trEAT from Merry Moo. I loved both the avocado and the sea salt caramel. Both were really creamy and had really strong flavors. Which I really enjoyed!

Here are Merry Moo’s NEW kids on the block!

Cheesy Mamon

Mr. Eats: This is a tough round to score. The berry cheesecake is like the foreign counterpart of the mamon (local fluffy spongecake) added with berries. Both were really cheesy and creamy. However, the berry cheesecake’s depth of flavor caught my tummy’s attention more. Its lovely blend of berries and cheesecake gave me a great balance sweet and tart in every spoonful. Well done, Merry Moo!

Mrs. Eats: Cheese and ice cream? Yes please! Both of my favorites put together! The berry cheesecake was good as it had chunks of berries and cheesecake. However, my favorite among the two was the cheesy mamon. It was really c-h-e-e-s-y and it had big chunks of their mamon. Worth every calorie intake!

Thanks to Merry Moo Ice Cream for sending us some of their amazing ice cream creations! We had a great time sampling them and taking photos of them in our humble abode. To our readers, even though this was just given to us, we still used our very own preferences in writing up this article. If given the chance to get ice cream from the grocery now or chill out in a mall over ice cream, we would gladly pick Merry Moo Ice Cream over any famous ice cream brand from abroad. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! We hope we can share with you more and more of the local brands that we can truly be proud of. It’s time to appreciate more of proudly Philippine made products!
