Greenhills Shopping Center is one the most famous shopping and dining spots in Metro Manila. Found in the city of San Juan, Greenhills offers diners different kinds of EATSperiences from a long list of Filipino restaurants, fast food favorites, Asian, Western and International cuisines. You will never run out of options, believe me. In this edition of EATSplorations, I will share with you my EATSperience in Cafe Aquatica, one of the newest restaurants in Promenade at the Greenhills Shopping Center. With a unique concept, Cafe Aquatica features beautifully curated aquariums to go along with their food and beverages. Diners can enjoy their food while feasting their eyes on the wide variety of fighting fish that they have.
A quick look around Cafe Aquatica!
Aside from being a cafe, Cafe Aquatica also features a fish shop. The shop has different kinds of betta or fighting fish. So after dining, the customers may also do a little bit of shopping next door and take a look at their beautiful selection of fighting fish. I think I need to move on to the more important part of this EATSperience, the FOOD!
Super tender! I loved how thin the slices were because it absorbed all the flavor from the marinade really well. I loved the balance of salty and sour flavors. The cook on the egg was PERFECT! Make sure you slice the yolk right in the middle for that complete egg porn EATSperience.
It’s a first time for me to try a club sandwich dusted with cinnamon and it WORKED! What a refreshing take on the classic Club Sandwich. I also loved how generous Cafe Aquatica was with all the ingredients. Great balance of texture and flavor in every bite!
One of my favorites of this EATSperience! I loved the cook on the chicken fingers. Crispy, not greasy, and well seasoned. The gravy was really fragrant and it had a little bit of maple flavor in my taste. The wedges and aioli though were a different kind of AWESOMENESS. The pair was simply addicting and I couldn’t stop munching! Great dish for both young and old diners. 😉
Lately, I have been addicted to churros and almost every time my wife and I see a churros stall, we buy. Cafe Aquatica changed the game for me. Their churros is by far at the top of my list! Simply because it was not greasy and it was fluffy inside. Yes, FLUFFY! I couldn’t believe what I just EATSperienced when I took my first bite. The chocolate was also good in providing that added sweetness and smoothness. If you are a churros lover, you must try this—pronto!
I was able to try lots of different dishes at Cafe Aquatica and most of them were great. But these were my favorites. I had lots of fun looking at their aquariums simply because it was relaxing to the senses. It gave me that calmness that I needed that day after working. If you are around Greenhills Shopping Center and a fan of fish and food, head on over to Cafe Aquatica and EATSperience what they uniquely offer. That’s it for this edition of EATSplorations! Till next time!
